Guest user in Shifts
Would like to add guest users in Shifts as they work alongside other team members.
Due to other priorities, this has been moved to the backlog. We will update you as we evaluate in the future.
Can you please update on this issue as it is preventing us from using shift
Really need guest access to Shifts.

Guests access to the basic functionality of Shifts is necessary. Not everyone has or will have a Microsoft 365 account. This may be an aim but this is not the way to encourage people to do so.
Will use other free software's like google calendar.
Please push this up the priority list. It’s imperative for those of us working without lots of additional temporary staff as we battle COVID 19
If you would raise the priority of this task, Shifts adoption could increase a lot.
We are using MS Teams as a central hub for most coordination with our clients and Shifts features for guest would help us collaborate more easily.
Would love for this to be prioritized. I echo the comments here - we work with many first line workers, contract workers and other types of workers in a collaborative environment. Guest feature for shifts would be very helpful. Please prioritize.

I second this comment 100%
"It's not feasible for employers with a large contingent/temporary/seasonal workforce to acquire licenses for all staff, so it's really problematic that we can't add guests to Shifts. Shifts will never be competitive with other T&A solutions if an O365 license is required for every employee."

With the push to accommodate Front Line workers it is imperative that we be able to add guest shift workers. I have fire fighters and police that are shared with other organizations that we need to be able to schedule without having to license. They can already participate in our Teams but we cannot extend the functionality with shifts.
are there any news? Shifts would be perfekt for many departments in our company, his is the only blocker, because we work with many external companies.
I would also like to see this feature added - along with the guest being able to manage the Shifts - for example, an external HR person that comes in once a week who is a teams guest should be able to manage the shifts.
Also, HR should be able to handle leave requests as a guest.
This would allow us to have wide adoption of Shifts at our company with 35K+ employees and another 10K or so non-employee workers.

we are frequently also planning with non-staff resources, adding guests to shifts would be extremely helpful.

We would like to implement Shifts, and move further into the MS collaborative platform, but we have many part time employees who may only work a few hours a month, and it's not feasible to give them a full O365 license. Also some of our users are not that tech savvy, and we don't want them to have to work about a corporate email address, but to allow a more user friendly experience to use their personal email. and account.
Any word on where this feature is on the road map?
We would like to use shifts but, it is not feasible to have full account for every part time worker that might only work a couple hours per week. We are not able to use shifts however unless we can put everyone on the schedule. We can add guests to teams but those guests don't show up in the teams shifts. For now we are using Homebase but would like to move to shifts if we can.
Any update on this?

MS, are you there??

The last MS response was from March of 2019????? What on earth is taking MS so long to light this up as a top priority?
Additionally, let's say I ask my schedule builder to build out and plan for the next six months...which will include the Winter Holiday Season. How can I do that without guest users...without empty name place holders? Like, I know that in December, I will hire three new guest workers...but I don't know who they are yet. How can I put their shifts on the schedule when I build it in October?
