Guest user in Shifts
Would like to add guest users in Shifts as they work alongside other team members.
Due to other priorities, this has been moved to the backlog. We will update you as we evaluate in the future.
teams is (conceptually) a great app but completely useless for our small business without the ability to add guest users to shifts and prevents us from having a fully integrated system for management.
Please release this feature quickly. We have many first line workers who do not need a license. Majority are teenagers working part time in a more retail like environment. Purchasing a license would be overkill and cost prohibitive. Those of us who need a license have set work weeks rendering this great tool useless for us at this time.

This suggestion has planned status for more than half a year now, yet there was no official response in the whole thread. When can we expect some?
This feature of Teams is useless without this, as those that need Shifts don't actually need Office365 accounts (in our example, factory workers), and those that have Office365 accounts usually don't need Shifts as we have defined work week. It also doesn't make financial sense to create Office365 for those workers in need of Shifts, as they would only need it for this sole purpose.
I'm looking forward to this feature being implemented, but what I discovered and maybe it can help someone else here.
Although you cannot add a guest to Shifts you can add an unlicensed user, and the unlicensed user can access Teams just fine. Not the perfect fix, but this work around works for my needs at the moment.
still waiting for this feature. Otherwise Teams is useless for our purpose. Please make it happen
please make it happen this year

How can we speed up the process of getting this function on Shifts? This should be way more important than whether or not we can use emojis??

Status is Planed - when we can expect this function?
It would be great to add part time employees who are not set up in our corporate system.

We NEED this to happen. Only 5-7 of our employees have employee accounts that can be added to shifts right now, though we are full time and do not need to be scheduled. Our 30-40 other employees are part time and are only guests within teams; they are the ones that need to be scheduled.

Any update on this? Would finally make shifts usable for us
We experience the same problem! It is very important that guest users also can get access to Shifts in Microsoft Teams! This is an urgent matter! Please make this a priority.
Yes this is really important to me as most of my teams are contractors - please advise when this will be planned in

Not being able to use Shifts with guest accounts is a huge problem and if we cant get the feature we will just need to move away from Shifts (and possible Teams) altogether to a different system.
This will impact the productivity of our team very significantly.

Please implement shifts for guest users. Even just the ability to view
I feel like many of the options that would be good for my business are locked because not all people are centered in my employment group. Adding them as guest users would be vital. However, it feels like I am limited to only using people in my specific employment group. This limits our ability to use this software for our success. Our options would be request a change or find another software option that allows better access for all people associated with my business
I work at a production facility - we're looking for something for teamleaders to keep track of scheduled holidays for production worker's etc.
We are moving a lot of our communications, etc. to Teams and would like to utilize this feature however, doesn't seem feasible as all of our production worker's don't have emails within the company.
Is there going to be a feature that we can add "team members" without email addresses... this is moreso for tracking purposes for the team leaders and the production workers don't need to see the schedule.
Otherwise, we'll just stick to Outlook!
This is a must
