Default Format for conversations
I almost always forget to hit the "Format" button, when I start a new cenversation in Teams. As I need more that one line for my text, I end up with two or three posts.
I should hit the "Format" button, then I can type in more that one line before sending the conversation, and I can even add a subject line.
Is there a way to set a default, so that I always get to the "Format mode", when opening a new conversation?
If not, then I suggest creating such an option.

I vote for this so very useful feature.

I agree. WE like having the SUBJECT at top of any new conversation as it makes search results far easier to sort.
For my work it's handy since I often use "helpdesk ticket # ____" as the subject.
For a teacher, starting a conversation thread with a subject for each assignment in a course can help keep things organized.

Being able to default a new entry within a conversation to "format mode" makes sense, especially if this is configurable by the user.
I do this every time so, I'm slightly less productive when I want to utilize teams as first, make sure I enter "format mode"

Please fix this, it is so frustrating to forget it and hit enter...

Really! Why can't we set Format Mode as the defaut?
This is so obvious that it makes me wonder if the programmers at Microsoft even use Teams.
This is so frustrating. Everyone in our team forgets to do this. I spend most of my time nagging them afterwards to add a subject.
I doubt anything like this will ever get implemented. Even 40k+ votes doesn't guarantee MS will do anything about it.

No doubt: this is a must-have ! I'm looking this setting for such a long time !

Please! I would love that so much. It's a big pain having to enter Format mode every time or else risking sending messages before I'm ready when I hit Enter for a new line.
It's a must have in enterprise setting.
Agreed. We're rapidly replacing Outlook with an admittedly chat-based Teams app. Rich content is thus the new normal. That rich formatting is already there, so all that's needed an option to fix it at that default.
You could stand to add the full set of formatting (full color palette, fonts available to other Office apps) while you're at it.

Please make it possible to always open in Format Mode. I know about Ctrl+Shift+X but find it unintuitive and cumbersome. Particularly when I open Format Mode for nearly every post.
Also, I kinda think Format Mode should be the default for new conversations. Or, at least make it easier for folks to add a title.

Related: I was going to post a new request for a keyboard shortcut to invoke the "Format Post" mode, but it already exists:
Expand compose box: Ctrl+Shift+X
It isn't what the OP is looking for, but maybe it is still helpful.

Posts with a subject are 100 X more effective, making Format a default, when users start a new conversation in channels, is ideal to help the adoption of subjects.
With the new experience, users now need to click twice to get to format, instead of clicking just directly into that option, so it made it harder for us to teach users how to get to the format options.
I like the new conversation experience, but for it to be perfect please MAKE FORMAT DEFAULT!

I would also like to have this feature. New conversations within a channel can get easily lost or accidentally categorized in someone's mind as just a continuation of a previous thread.
To make my questions / observations stand out, I almost always add a title and almost always like to have spaces in between lines.
Can we make "Default Conversation Format" a setting that users can change?
