I see comments dating back to 2019. How is it that i am the owner of the schedule and i cannot remove approved time off? Is there an update that will be coming to fix this issue?

Still nothing?? It should've been done by ages ago! Please implement it ASAP, otherwise it remains useless!

Why can’t I delete my vacation time in Shifts if I need to change the dates? This is absurd

Still no update on this? Also, when asking for a shift swap, it only allows you to select a day. Sometimes you need to request a full 4/5 days shift swap, there should be a way to allow you to select the range of dates that you want to swap or even offer. Bit like it is with the time off request.

Agreed, modifying submitted requests is essential to the review and approval of staff requests in Shifts.

The work around is to post an open shift and have the employee whos vacation was cancelled pick up that shift

All user to cancel or modify shift request once approved. We are implementing post covid back to building project and users can request to come to the building with limited slots. Want to see an option for user to cancel /modify the request. Especially we have 600 staff and somebody like manager these requests will be overwhelming. This is very important for anyone who is getting ready to implement Shifts.

having the ability to cancel a time off request is helpful for staff who change their mind. Keeping the cancelled request for history and WHO cancelled it for manager protection will also be helpful

We found a nice article to use shifts to manage workers at the office with the covid-19 pandemic.(https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/team-management-op-lokaties-erik-radix/)
It lets you use shifts to let people plan theirself a workspace at the office with social distancing when you are not able to use the whole office, but just a few spots a day.
BUT if you want to change or cancel a day, you can only do this when switching it to another person of switch with another day.
Which is with reservations for a workplace not always necessary....so we stopped using it because when someone gets sick (they are not allowed to come to the office) and they need to cancel their shift so another person might wanna take this seat (or not), we want the shift to become available and not given to someone.Missed chance this option is not available!! After pandemic shifts are not needed for us, so if you want organisations to work with shifts (even if they don't have shifts at work) this is the time to get the creative organisations work with stuff like shifts. It could be very handy to use with hybrid working and less spaces than people.
Even in the feature working at home can be more popular, managers can make the workspaces smaller/less and than shifts can help to fill workspaces. It could be a great tool for that.

This absolutely needs to be fixed. Also, in this case I am the boss, and even I can't seem to undo the request. That is ridiculous.

AGreed 100%. Why is it only my boss can do that? I should be able to handle this on my own.

Are.you.kidding.me? Is this a feature that isn't implemented yet? Is this an Alpha version that you put in production? Sorry, but this is sub par en masse.
