Import Shifts schedule from Excel/CSV
Shifts already has export schedule in UI. It would be great to have a option to import schedule as well, so it could be prepared in a external (legacy) system and then easily imported using UI, without need to develop code for upcoming Graph API.
This would also make possible to create a shift "template" that could be easily uploaded to new Shifts / groups.
The engineering team is actively working on this item.
Here is the sample file. Anyone have advice on how to get it to work? I keep getting errors and I've followed the instructions very carefully...
Same issue here, I cannot download the import sample, can someone here share the sample import file.
The import sample can't be downloaded. Please provide the a download link for the sample.
Is it possible to include Groups in a Shifts export to Excel/CSV?
If yes, how?
For whatever reason, the template document won't download. Is anyone able to upload it here please?

Yay! I agree, it would be nice to have the same fields as export and be able to upload open schedules. This is a huge step though!

This feature is implemented now!
You can’t import the excel files you export because they use different standard fields.

It appears, as of today, that there is now an import feature in Shifts.
When you select "Import Schedule from Excel" from the menu, it prompts you to download a template to fill in.
I've had a play around with it and it seems very limited in it's functionality. The work email address for each line to import is a required field (which is then used to assign the shift to a person), so therefore you cannot upload a schedule of open shifts.
Is there plans to be able to upload a bunch of open shifts to then be assigned to people or staff to request?

@Claus The release date on Microsoft 365 Roadmap said it was "rolling out" and the date listed was July 2019. Now that July came and went, it is listed as Q3 2019 :-( Really waiting on this feature.
Concerning the csv import feature, is there already a relase date set?
we faced to the difficulty to input a large team, say 80 person for 6 different team, in Team's shift platform and there is no any AI to help us for some inputting by some per-defined pattern e.g. Day 1-3 is day shift (now we need to copy )

due to the limits imposed on us by space-time, MS Teams teams were created in our tenant with extremely similar names to existing StaffHub teams prior to the availability of the migration scripts.
now the scripts are available but with the caveat that they will create new MS Teams teams to house the MS shifts shifts.
So now we have a MS Teams team named "group team1" and a staffhub team named "group team" and when we run the migration script we end up with conversations and content in "group team 1" and shifts in "group team" and that is more irritating than the complete lack of self-reflection shown in your product naming conventions.
Our pre-defined teams should not have to do their conversations and data in one MS teams team while using another MS teams team to house their MS shifts shift when they are the exact same group of managers and members.
Did anybody over there even consider this scenario before imposing your staffhub retirement deadline? Because to me it seems like the deadline came first, then you threw some interns a task to make sure customers could migrate staffhub to shifts, then they came up with the barest of bare bones proof of concepts that got approved because they weren't given enough time to go back and do it the right way before the deadline arrived, and now someone is just being a stubborn moron and refusing to tell them to do it the right way, then moving the deadline as required.
Has there been any update on this? The staffhub import feature is good enough.
for those using MS Dynamics, it would be great to be able to import or at least add a tab in Teams for a schedule from MS D.
Yes it is highly wanted.
Agree! An import option would be really useful!
agreed, it would be great to have an import function just like export to allow for migration of StaffHub into existing Teams or from excel.
