Shifts - Let non owner manage shifts
Only team members with owner role are able to manage shifts.
Would be helpfull to define shifts manager seperate from their team role.
Shifts are also assigned by supervisors, which are only team member and assigning owner role is not desired.

I hope Microsoft Team developers can modify the settings to give employees edit their own shift activities, so that the managers can see what they were doing in the shift time.
Also it can be used instead of daily report
With everyone working from home, we want team members to be able to put in the shift that they are working rather than having one person scheduled shifts. That way the entire team can easily see when people are working. A little tweak would make this such a valuable tool.

would be important for non-owner to edit shifts. We need this function urgently. Thanks

This is critical - we want to use this to manage levels of staff in our labs to reduce numbers to limit chances of spread of the coronavirus. They all need to be able to edit their own shifts. Please implement urgently. Many thanks.

Planned for over 1 year now. Seriously. This would take about 1h of coding to implement.
surely this could just be a setting in the app which is something along the lines of "Allow all staff to edit shifts" ??
Can't be that hard to implement....
This need fixing. It has the potential to be a great asset, but i need to be able to delegate out its management.
Come on Microsoft we need this fixed as we can't roll out Shifts without an option to give employees access to edit their own shifts. This should at least be an option in Settings for the schedule! This is a show stopper to us using the tool!
Yeah, this is currently not helpful for us - we want individuals to be able to enter when they are on leave or offsite so anyone on the team can see it without making more work for team owners.
Seriously this is painful. If I make them owner of a team that is O365 connected then they're the full owner of the sharepoint site, mailbox, document library, etc. I want to have someone just manage shifts without gaining God mode over all of the data outside just the teams app
It would be really helpfull, if we get an update on these issue. Normal frontline workers should direktly implement shifts in teams. Without making them as an owner, they have to call everytime the manager and that makes more work for him.
If we make everybody as owner, the frontlineworkers could also accept request. These is really an issue!
So please make an update on these.

This has become a show stopper from using Shifts within Teams. We 'coordinate' our time together as a team; we do not 'assign' shifts therefore member input is mandatory (e.g. planned travel, vacations, etc.).

Please could we have an update on this?

This would be very useful, giving owner access just to change shifts is too much of a risk as it gives too much access on Sharepoint and Teams itself. Microsoft, can we please get an update?
This has been planned for so long now - is there any update?
As per below, please can we have an update on this!

Any updates on this?
We are about to adopt Microsoft Teams within the academic research project, most of the graduate students/employees work part time and they usually schedule themselves. Unfortunately we are not able to implement the same in Microsoft team.
Addition of a role that is able to make schedule would be great. For us it is a must indeed.
We used Staffhub before with multiple people managing shifts.
After the forced migration to teams it became useless because this feature is not existing.
If you port an application to a new environment, please check first if all functionalities are available and working!
