Don't quit the Mac client when the user closes the Window
Every time the MacOS client window is closed, the app quits so Notifications are missed - I've never seen this problem in ANY native chat app.
This is a Major usability problem due to missed notifications and untimely responses - we now typically use SMS on our phones as Teams notification are so unreliable, but that's really painful.
This is one of the most basic, standard Mac OS behaviors from from almost the creation of MacOS.
On March 16, 2017 there is a post in UserVoice that claims this issue was resolved and the issue was marked closed.
The post says there is a preference available at:
Settings --> Application --> On close, keep the application running
however "Application" is not even available in Settings as a category in the MacOS native client version 1.1.00.31953 (updated on 12/7/18).
Please fix this ASAP, this bug makes the MS teams practically unusable for real-time communication on MacOS.
I found UserVoice for Teams specifically to request this.
update; I found the settings box referred to in the original post, checked it, and it works. I hereby un-vote this. sorry
This is tagged as Mac, but I can't figure out how to also classify it as a bug
