delete files on chats
please create ability for a user to delete files thy added in a chat with a colleague. I have come files in a chat with my colleague but I realized i cant delete them

You can delete the files by clicking on the elipsis above the file and selecting delete. This will remove it from the chat history and from files. Not intuitive, but works.
Also, allow for the files to be renamed within Teams, please.

Hi everyone, there is another suggestion for this with more votes. Please vote for the one in this link. Hopefully the moderator can consolidate the suggestions: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40077673-delete-chat
I agree. Is incredible that we have to ask for this kind of feature!
As an addendum to Colja Carls's point, for long, ongoing chats, it gets to be very difficult to find the comment where the file was uploaded.
Agreed. Delete option within a chat would be very helpful.

Colja Carls your comment is quite helpful!!!!
Yes, please allow delete from files tab. Scrolling back searching for a message somewhere up there is difficult and stupid. Lets do file management in the file tab.
Please allow deleting files uploaded in Conversations directly from the Files tab!

Well, you actually CAN delete the files, but the way is ugly and should be more usable:
Every time you share a file in a chat, a corresponding chat message is generated. "Simply" delete this message in the chat (with the file being attached) and the file will be gone.
@Microsoft: please allow deleting the files right where the user would expect it.
