Move or turn-off selfview in a Teams Meetings
The self view is always static in the bottom right-hand corner of a Teams meeting. This is often distracting and can also get in the way of the screenshare.
-Add option to toggle off/on self-view
-Add option to move self-view to other locations on the screen
Thank you for your feedback. This feature is on the teams backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

looks like this was added to the roadmap - see https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=hide%2Cyour%2Cvideo for more info
Please prioritize this feature. My team members don't turn their cameras on because they don't like seeing themselves, having the ability to toggle self-view will help to increase engagement on my team.
these are some additional ideas/reasons to be taken into account: https://news.stanford.edu/2021/02/23/four-causes-zoom-fatigue-solutions/

I support this request.

As a college student, this would be very helpful to see all of the instructor's screen, at least in Focus mode. I feel that this is where it would be best integrated, although not seeing yourself in the gallery would help.
In Microsoft don't you really understand when a change request is really <<must have>> and when its just <<nice to have>>?
We are talking about distractions during a meeting and other mental health issues.
I support the presence of feature to toggle on/off the self-view in Teams meeting. My daughter who is using Teams to study through Kindergarten in Covid times gets easily distracted by this and loses focus on what the teacher is saying. It would be great to have this option for small childeren who are Schooling from Home and may continue to do so in future.
Not being able remove your own picture from the window is so annoying and it also blocks content on the window.

Have switched to Teams after being a user of Zoom at another company. Can't understand why Teams doesn't have this feature. This can be very distracting to me while presenting.
+1. This is a standard feature of other standard conference solutions.
Would be great to have the screen real-estate back and not miss part of screen shares.

turn this off! Zoom figured this out a long time ago. Seeing myself is a major distraction when presenting
+1 this is a mental health issue for many, please prioritise!
Please enable us to turn off self-view
Please prioritise - so annoying that I can't see all of the other attendees because my picture is in the way!
Please remove from backlog and begin work.

Definitely needed feature
Even if we can't turn off the view of ourselves, it would be great if we could take the part where we are watching someone else's screen and "Pop it out" to another window.

+1 I consider this a feature with mental health. A friend was in her first year at the University in remote classes and after a while stopped participating and then attending the classes because it was so distracting to see herself all the time. What do the others think I look like etc.
If we sit in conference rooms, we do not constantly stare into a mirror.

Zoom has had this feature for many months - where is this in the backlog now Alex?
