Move or turn-off selfview in a Teams Meetings
The self view is always static in the bottom right-hand corner of a Teams meeting. This is often distracting and can also get in the way of the screenshare.
-Add option to toggle off/on self-view
-Add option to move self-view to other locations on the screen
Thank you for your feedback. This feature is on the teams backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Continually staring at your self can cause mental harm if you are prone to body dysmorphia, see a news article on this here

I spent over an hour today before a key internal interview desperately trying to find technical way to do this, I never even considered this wasn’t a basic function….I cannot believe I had to resort to using a sticky note! I look forward to this development update

It is ridiculous that this is not even an option yet. Should be an easy fix... Definitely planning to move over to Zoom which does have this feature, if this doesnt change soon.

I have a narcissic tendancy to look at myself and this disables me to look at others and see their reactions when I talk. You really should give the option.

This is not only distracting in meetings, it blocks one the view of one of the participants in the meeting and is severely affecting my mental health by having to see my own face for 5-7 hours a day

Please can we get this done as soon as possible. It's so distracting - and as is well documented tiring and bad for my mental health.
Its in the Roadmap for November: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=In%20development%2CRolling%20out&searchterms=86370
@Admin: maybe set status to "in development" ;)

Please make this a priority ASAP .

This really needs to be an option now. A Stanford study has shown it contributes to 'Zoom fatigue'. https://news.stanford.edu/2021/02/23/four-causes-zoom-fatigue-solutions/
Please move this up to priority :) Zoom fatigue. Teams fatigue is real.

I find it distracting to have to stare at myself for hours long calls. It would be extremely appreciated if there was an option to turn this off.

It would also be great to remove your own video in large gallery - I find that particularly distracting.
This makes me really missing Zoom when I work with Teams !

My focus is to be able to select which corner of the screen the self view would be displayed. Top left, top right, bottom left, botom right, etc.

I cannot believe this option has not yet been turned on yet. This is a problem that I face on a daily basis and would really love to see microsoft teams prioritize it and launch it.

I strongly support the option to turn off selfview in a Team meeting - it seems such a simple fix which would make the world of difference to people and their confidence.
