Move or turn-off selfview in a Teams Meetings
The self view is always static in the bottom right-hand corner of a Teams meeting. This is often distracting and can also get in the way of the screenshare.
-Add option to toggle off/on self-view
-Add option to move self-view to other locations on the screen

I'd just like to be able to turn off the video of me that I see while still having it on for others. When I'm in a meeting I don't hold a mirror up so I can see myself too.

It is unusual to sit and look at yourself as if in a mirror for long periods of time, such as occur in meetings, and it doesn't promote good mental health!

Yes, please make it possible to move my self view to wherever I want it to be, also on another screen than the Teams meeting. The self view covers over the person on the bottom right corner so I cannot see them.

you always look to your self and others are doing this as well... this makes video calls awkward.
If you turn your selfview off you automatically look more to the other and into the camera.. -

My teenage son is using Teams for school and is becoming depressed and distracted by seeing his own self on the screen, the teachers require them to have video on to show they are engaged but his self image is low especially in lockdown with no ability to have a hair cut and all this may sound small to some it is crushing his self esteem. I use Zoom as an Exec Coach and I turn the image off as I am not focused on the client when I can see this unnatural image of myself looking back at me, it diminishes my attention and exhausts me after a tough day of coaching so I have to say I totally understand his stress. Please make this a feature that you can choose to turn it off.

I like to use the self view to make sure I am visible and my image is not too dark for the other members of the meeting. However in Teams my PIP covers over the person on the bottom right corner so I cannot see them. No video image should over lap another. Sometimes Teams does it correctly just to revert in the next meeting or next day. There is no consistency and no way to control it. We as users should have total control of this. Allow us to enable / disable our self view and make sure our self view does not block other content.

The combination of body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, and ADHD make self-view absolutely horrific. For meetings where cameras are required versus optional, staying focused is a difficult task.

Self view is the bane of video meetings. It's like sitting at a conference table with a large mirror pointed at you. Less focus on the meeting and other participants.Turn off self view while keeping the camera active would be great.

District uses Teams because of a partnership with Microsoft. Students do not need to see themselves while learning, and won't leave cameras on when they have to stare at themselves the whole time.

I have gender dysphoria and I am required to use teams for work. I can't tell you how much I hate having to see myself during the whole meeting or how bad it makes me feel.

It's been nearly a year, and this still isn't an option. Really need this.

I have body dysmorphic disorder and I am teaching completely online using Teams. This is having a severe impact on my mental wellbeing. Please introduce the feature of turning off self-view! I agree also with the comments below relating to the impact on teenagers having to look at themselves continuously, could have serious long term impact on them.

Yes give an option to turn off self view, it can be distracting, also give an option to blank other peoples webcams from your view.

this additional flexibility would be most helpful

Yes please - it can be very distracting and also detrimental for students when we are asking for cameras on. Please do have the option for off/on.

The self view is extremely distracting. Should have an option to disable this.

Please add option to toggle off/on self-view. We are using Teams for virtual learning and some elementary students have webcam anxiety. Thank you.

Self view makes my children feel self conscious on Teams. It would make a big difference if they could turn this off.

We need to enable users to move the self view "PIP" camera window around their screen to be just under the camera so they know how they look while keeping better eye contact with the viewers. Having the ability to turn off self view would be beneficial too.
