Possibility to pause a video recording
It would be great to have a possibility to pause and continue meeting recording.

Thank you for your feedback. The team has this featured planned for later this year. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Pause option during call record to avoid recording of a short break time or the activity we don't want to record when user checking for some things and to get back shortly.

I'm at an educational institution where we require lectures be recorded for remote delivered courses - it would be nice to pause the meeting recording for when conversations of a sensitive nature would happen.

Especially useful for hosting training sessions. We often break for 10-15 mins that I wouldn't want on my recording, but I also don't want to break the session into pt.1 and 2

Yes, please add this feature. Just today I had an example working from home where my miniature pinscher had to be let outside during a training I was recording. It would have been so great to hit pause. My trainees were very understanding, we all have to make allowances for the COVID world, but to have to go back to edit the recording takes so much extra time. And it's 4th quarter! Such a busy time. I think this is an essential feature to have.

This is a must have feature, we use Teams meetings for board of directors meetings and is not likely to be stopping and starting recordings several times during the same session. This is already working in other meeting platforms but not in Microsoft Teams

Yes please! Being able to pause would be amazing. Especially as Teams is often used to record presentations.

Not beeing able to use pause in Video meeting is one reason we use zoom to do "training" online and teams for other things.

When I am watching a live event, sometimes I need to temporarily pause or skip back if I missed something. I love that Teams lets me do this. HOWEVER, once I do that, I'm sort of stuck in the past. I either have to watch "not live" or skip what they said recently to get to where they are now. It would be nice if I could increase the playback speed to let me catch up to where they are now without missing what they said between where I was vs. the present.

When I am conducting an interview with a learner for their Master Degree there is a necessity to have a pause in the conversation so that one can collect their thoughts together and be able to continue without having to restart the whole process again, this would enable the best use of time on Teams and afford the learner not to have anxiety about being interviewed again and again,

I was forced into using Teams by the college I teach at, after they switched from a much simpler and better product from another company. I'm sure this was due to some "deal" that Microsoft made with the school to go exclusive. Thanks to this switch, I am constantly trying to troubleshoot and do extra work to overcome the product's shortcomings and difficulty of use.
I end up with four hour recordings for each of my classes that have huge blank spots in them due to breakout meetings and breaks. I'd hate to be one of my students and forced to scrub videos to see if there's more content still to come. It's a brutal way to learn.
I was hoping there would be some help here on how to pause a recording, but I'm not surprised that this is not a priority after looking to see how old this thread is. Not having the ability to pause is like not supplying toilet paper for a washroom. It's just inexplicable.
So, thanks Microsoft! I'm going to have to quit teaching one of my classes due to the new extra unpaid hours of software work and support I need to do for my students. The new workload actually exceeds my in-class teaching time each week. And the 7.5 hours of in-house training I had to do that didn't prepare me for the shortcomings of the software, that was a great way to spend a couple days during my term break.
Training is where a lot of money is to be made and it's clear Microsoft knows that. The other software that we used before, which comes from that big design and graphics software company, that took about half an hour of playing around with it and I was set to go. Microsoft engineers need to go try their software and see how much easier life can be.

One reason I schedule my meetings in Webex instead of Teams is that I can PAUSE a recording in WEBEX but I cannot Pause in TEAMS. Is there any good reason for this?
How can you even release Record Functionality without even offering Pause??
