Add whole mention text to email notification
I receive notification emails for personal and team mentions. Some are important but many are not. However the email doesn't have enough of the message to tell, so I have to log in to teams and open my activity just to see that someone posted a picture.
Please include the whole conversation message in the email notification.

I am getting the notifications in my email, But the text is white on light purple.
it is so hard to read, initially I was unaware that there was even any text there.

I'm quite baffled about the notification settings and their effects. Some people in some channels seem to blast right through despite muting. Do these people have 'super-blast-through-all-my-muting' abilities?
I need open CUSD emails and I can't Microsoft ask me for a password or email address and don't accept anyone
Just like when you sign up to facebook, you get emails of any posts related to you, if this was incorporated into teams and outlook we would not miss as much messages.
checking email is second nature, teams not so much and this would help my team.
Teams' functionality compares poorly to Slack in this regard.

This is really important for organisations that collaborate with people outside who might not work somewhere where Teams is used. If a guest isn't habitually in Teams they won't see messages, so being able to get email notifications is the best way to include them. Presumably this worked when it was possible to Follow a channel. There is a still a UI in Settings > Notifications to get Banner and Email notifications for Followed Channels, but no UI to actually follow a channel.
This is critical for me - if "guests" can't be notified by email then we may as well fall over to old style mailing groups, but Teams would offer a much richer experience.
And if Teams use by guests was friendlier, there is a much greater chance of the guest advocating for Teams use in their own organisation.
Teams should publish information about the conditions notified by email.

I would much prefer my email notifications from Teams to contain the full message so I then know whether I need to click into Teams and reply. "You'll never guess what just happened in ...... " is not a satisfactory experience. Just give me the full message!!!

Is there a way to disable this? I am sick of my work email account being flooded also, and I don't see an option to disable it anywhere

I would expand this to all notification emails. I often pick up notification emails out of hours on my cell and only want to read and respond to important, critical, time sensitive messages or mentions or updates. As it stands the preview shown is far too short and doesn't give enough to make a judgement.
I would rather have much longer notification emails or at least the ability to choose normal or full notifications so I can decide how much I want.
This needs to be available. We need a global setting to be able to disable all email notifications.
It would be nice to set an email notification only instead of having to have a banner and email notification. I don't want the banner popping up for chats, but if I accidentally close my teams, I would like to at least receive the email that a person or a team project sent a message.
Will save lots of unnecessary time waiting for teams to open..
This used to be available, but has since gone away when "following" channels was removed.
Would like to be able to customize which channels we get email notifications for. Right now email notifications are an all or nothing option for channels.
Additionally, in the general notification options, there are still remnants of followed channels...in that you can select to get an email notification for followed channels, but followed channels doesn't exist anymore.
Or at least, can you also include an actual description of what happened in the email notification, please - like Jira does? For example: coworker xyz posted: <text_here>
Instead Teams' email just says "SOMETHING HAPPENED"!
It's very distracting
These are so annoying. I get the in-app notification, check the app, and then four hours later get a stale notification of an old conversation.
They serve no purpose and just clutter my inbox. It's bizarre that the app lacks such an obvious feature.
I dont want to receive email notification me about new message.
How to enable to that one!
I am receiving an email regarding an unread message even though I have already read the message in chat. I like the email in case I miss a chat, but false positives are becoming annoying.
