Allow ANYBODY to share their screen
Currently we have to use other services such as Google Hangout/Meet or other video conferencing apps to meet with people outside of our company, because MS Teams does not allow screen sharing for anonymous guests. Its a real pain ********** that Teams doesn't have this ability and most other services do. We meet with people outside of our company a lot so we frequently need to abandon MS Teams for these meetings.
Thank you for your continued feedback. Screen sharing on Chrome and Chromium-based Edge is fully supported. For more information, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams#browsers.
For Safari and Firefox, only incoming screen sharing is currently supported. Safari outgoing screen sharing is on the backlog, and Firefox outgoing screen sharing is under review.
please add this feature
Not having screensharing in the WEB UI is a dealbreaker in my opinion. This should be a top priority since the desktop app is not at all friendly in multi-user environments.

Any update on release date?

This is really vital, not all companies even allow employees to install apps/programs on their computer. So if you use teams as you have been using skype for business, communicating with users outside your organization its a mayor step back from skype for business !

Please add this feature at the earliest. This is much needed.

Just so you guys know if you get notification on this, this works now with Chrome, you can now do voice/video/screen share anonymously via Chrome with no downloads. @ChrisWebbTech

Good Lord! Why swap out Skype if you can't share screens!!!!! I'm having to go back to GotoMeeting to compensate because I already switched to Teams. :-(

I agree with Jonathan Padilla comment we also need the ETA's per browser so we can communicate to the user base.

What is the screen functionality by browser (IE, Edge, Firefox, etc) and the ETA for each? This will be VITAL so we can communicate effectively with our participants.
this feature would be of great help
This is a basic feature that really needs to be a priority. My organization is switching everyone from Skype to Teams in a couple of months and this will really be a pain point. Please fix ASAP.

This feature is being used with Google Hangouts, WebEx, Skype for Business WebApp.
That MS Teams does not have this capability other than through the desktop app is ridiculous.
When is this coming to release ring? Cannot find an item on Teams Roadmap for this. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams

We use Zoom for conference with external persons if this feature could allow audio/Video and screen sharing with external ppl, this would focus more on Teams
Thanks for the note that this is being added, but I will have to agree with Adam that this is also an important feature for us to use for the exact same reasons. So we do hope there is some update soon on this progress and that the feature will return to the product very rapidly.
Agreed. Is this feature already deployed or is it coming yet?
Agreed. Also, we need to be able to "give control" while screen sharing to the guest user that is in the web browser. This feature is currently available in Skype.
Our employees all use the desktop clients, however our associates outside the company prefer the web client. This is the feature most holding us back from a full transition to Teams.
Agree - we need Chrome browser Teams screen sharing/video sharing support yesterday. Microsoft, can you please provide an updated note on release-date for this much needed feature? This will help us decide whether or not to invest in Zoom for external sharing/video.

You may want to vote on this request for screen sharing where Microsoft says they are "working on it"

Alex, do you have a current update? Based on this article from March, sounds like it's close, but it would be helpful to know if it's imminent or not.
