Allow ANYBODY to share their screen
Currently we have to use other services such as Google Hangout/Meet or other video conferencing apps to meet with people outside of our company, because MS Teams does not allow screen sharing for anonymous guests. Its a real pain ********** that Teams doesn't have this ability and most other services do. We meet with people outside of our company a lot so we frequently need to abandon MS Teams for these meetings.
Thank you for your continued feedback. Screen sharing on Chrome and Chromium-based Edge is fully supported. For more information, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams#browsers.
For Safari and Firefox, only incoming screen sharing is currently supported. Safari outgoing screen sharing is on the backlog, and Firefox outgoing screen sharing is under review.
Please enable this feature in Teams. Have to use GoToMeeting, Skype, or TeamViewer for screen sharing outside of the organization.
Please fix so this works on Franz: https://meetfranz.com/
I need this for my work very important
As mentioned by others, this isn't actually fully supported, only partially. The only way you can start screen share is to start a group meeting.
Microsoft ask to their customers to move from Skype to Teams....
How to, without this kind of user experience?
Please allow guest to use and share their screen using web browser.
An update to my testing described below. I seem to be able to do voice and screensharing GROUP calls. If I try to call just one person I get the error that it's not supported in my browser.
So, this clearly isn't fully supported yet. When can I expect to be able to have voice and sharing when calling just one person?
I see the update that says screen sharing works in Chrome but there is no icon for screen sharing using Chrome on Windows or Linux. I'm using Chrome version 78 on both, and your link says version 72 and later should work. Do I have to do something to expose the button for screen sharing?
Also, while using Google Chrome version 78 I get this error message when trying to make a voice call I AM using Chrome. :(

What Robs said on Sept 30. Joined a meeting as guest from Edge and was not able to share screen. I was told I had to download the desktop app.
when will screen sharing in chrome be available in chat mode?

Can this page be updated with this news? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams#browsers
Right now it says Edge doesn't have screen sharing enabled.
@admin @alex I just tried screen sharing on Edge and it still says my browser isn't supported. Is this being rolled out to certain tenants only? First release customers only?

I had a Teams meeting a few days ago with someone who doesn't have teams or an office 365 account and they were able to share their screen.

Can we get a more recent Microsoft update on this? This is holding up our transition from Skype...

Works great in Chrome version 76. Would love to see support for screen sharing extended to other browers. This is a critical need for our dispersed workforce.

any update on this? Even the "next" quarter is already over...;-)

"As of July 3, 2019, screen sharing is supported without any plug-ins or extensions"
did this get released?
Enable video sharing via web.
I am deleting and revising my comment. I just did further testing and @chris webb is correct, it does work (at least in Chrome). I can share video, share desktop, and chat as a guest via the browser without launching the Teams app. I haven't found an official release statement of the feature, but I'll take it!
May 14th, 2019 was Q4 (fiscal) for Microsoft; Q4 ended June 30th. Still no word, and Q1 is halfway over. If you want to follow the calendar quarters, then May 14th would be half-way into Q2 and we would still be halfway into calendar Q3 with no word. Any indication when we're going to see this?
