start over from scratch? is that too much to ask for?
Lets start with performance, slow even on 8th Gen i5 quad core with 16g ram
go in and out of "chat" and "suggested" re-appears, cluttering the recent chats, as well as recent (chats) which apperas to stay closed properly.
I want the ability not to see these things, I don't need *you* or *your app* giving me suggestions right now, and in the future if I needed suggestions I could just as easily click something to show them, rather than you forcing them there all the time when they are 99.9% useless to *me*.
Naming conventions, ok so right click on a recent chat, and you get Pin .. straight forward.. pins to the top .. Add to favorites, again straight forward.. mute .. kinda intuitive.. but what about "hide"? what exactly is that supposed to do? hid the person, the chat, the detailed conversation? This would be why we use the word "Archive" *that* word is more specific, it means ... "remove this thing from view .. but .. save it somewhere so we can go get it later" Hide doesn't mean that... is that what you meant? to "archive it away" somewhere?
As with any of the so called "modern" apps, there's no borders so its hard to grab, resize, move, etc.. I have 20+ things open all over 3 desktop monitors .. and this thing partially goes to the background getting covered by a foreground window .. but I can't just "click" anywhere visible because it would activate a feature .. click near the "Get app" if that's visible and it causes the appstore launch, etc. AND from having all this flat app-look-garbage, how do you tell how much area you have to click in or near an item before you're actually clicking in an area near a button or hotspot that activates!?
File attachments, copy/paste, none of these works well and consistently ... if I drag and drop the file into the chat area, the system auto-uploads and shows the picture, but if I use CTRL+C and CTRL+V I get a visual representation, but often see the content be sent as a file/code snippet attachment, vs just showing the picture in context.
Just the bloat of it ..or the inconsistent controls with it .. the cog wheel was there yesterday to configure / change settings, but now that's gone, either replaced by another functioning icon, or requires entering into the program differently to get settings to work ..
And what about ignoring the "don't start with windows" type issue, where changing the "Start" or "Don't start" option suddenly does the opposite. I restarted my laptop this morning and found it running on start up along with Skype which I didn't set.
This thing is a pig, is slow, and does not really show off the potential well at all.. I wish my company wasn't using it at all.
