Connect existing meetings to Teams
I have a reoccuring meeting in Outlook. For remote people I added a link to Teams, which, I guess, works fine.
Now I created an actual Team with a channel for that specific meeting. It would be great if it was possible to have the existing meeting as a scheduled meeting for that channel. Meaning also that the link to teams in the Outlook event leads to that scheduled meeting in Teams.
Who said MS has changed? Bringing tons of toys without a well-thought-through concept of how they should connect effectively in real life. But, it is important to boast how shiny all the tools are.

Almost two years now, still waiting!
Can't believe Microsoft haven't sussed/sorted this out yet. I too work in an academic setting, with regular, weekly online lectures that are already set up and in student's calendars. I should be able to assign channels to an already existing occurrence or series without having to cancel/re-create the original meeting (as different groups work together on different weeks). Teams is confusing enough for first time users without this added complication.

Agree - much better than cancelling and then having to set up again in Teams just so it is integrated.
This would be useful, especially for large groups, as no one typically wants a send out an new invitation and make everyone accept or decline again. By the same token, having the meeting attached to a team so that recordings and the like are available there when new people come on board would be useful.

We are using Teams in an academic setting. We have a regularly scheduled meeting over 14 weeks. I would like to add specific channels to the existing meeting in order to invite my students to the appropriate discussion area.
I want to do this to recurring meetings.
we need this. our users are shying away from cancelling an existing Teams Meeting series (created by the outlook addin) in order to recreate from the Teams client to connect it to a channel.
Hello, Is this possible at this time?
Yes, I would very much like to be able to edit an existing meeting and add it to a Channel.

+1 vote for this suggestion.
I am eagerly waiting for this implementation for so long!
Has this been solved?

I agree - retrospectively connecting a meeting to a Teams Channel would be VERY useful.
I've come up against resistance with this in my team due to folks (understandably) not wanting to end a current meeting series and restart it within Teams just to connect it to a channel - but there is the desire to have the Meeting Notes show in a channel of their choosing.
