three way calling
I would like to receive an inbound or make an outbound pstn call and be able to conference in another participant.
Currently no three way calling is available unless I setup a teams meeting first.

Coming from a regular old school PBX a three way conference should be included in the phone license.
Our people are using their mobile phones currently to accomplish this. -

When 2 (or more) internal colleagues are having a regular teams call and we need to dial-in an external person (yes we have Teams Direct routing all successfully set up and working) this does not work. This should be rather easy to accomplish no?

We are currently using the free trial version of Business Voice and have learned from Tech Support that there is no way to bring a third party into an ongoing call. This feature should work much as it commonly does on cell phones to conduct a conference call. While we can use the Audio Conference feature, this only seems to work if the meeting is planned in advance and a notice sent out with the dial in number. We will almost always need this to be impromptu to bring an interpreter into an inbound call from a caller that does not speak English.

It looks worse than just requiring Audio Conferencing because any 3 way call bills against the very limiting 750 minutes per tenant (not per user). Tenants that were using Skype for Business and converted to Teams are not happy campers right now.

It appears that Microsoft is now requiring the audio conference license to do this which was NOT required when we were on Skype for Business. Yes, individuals should not be able to create a conference bridge number if they do not have the license, however, they should be able to make a three way call, especially for $20 per user per month. There are plenty of services out there that have this for much less cost.
