Prevent Group Owner adding to Teams
In regards to MC151939 we would like to ability to prevent the group owner being able to add MS Teams directly from SharePoint Online team sites. At this point in time we do not want to use MS Teams throughout the organization.

I agree with Ed Pack, I'm already in a huge mess.
I can't believe this is not a standard option. It must be!
This is a disaster waiting to happen. I had to turn off 3rd party app installs.

Voting - there is no way users should be able to create teams, office 365 groups, channels, etc. This WILL result in a horrible mess. There should be a global on/off switch for any team, channel, yammer, or basically any type of group creation.
It should be a standard function for admins to prevent users creation of teams or groups.
This is desperately needed. Can you all please allow a policy section were admins can manage who can create teams.

We need to be able to control the creation of Teams because (1) we have curious users who have already created more than 30 teams that they don't use and (2) we haven't rolled out Teams functionality to the whole company. We also want to limit the ability to create Planners outside of Teams. Here again, we have many Planner sites that users created when Planner first rolled out. They all gave it a try; most of them never used the Planner again.
We need the ability to prevent an O365 Group owner from creating a Team from the group. We have owners creating the Team as a public team which is something we don't want them to do.

We want to manage the creation of Teams sites.
Indeed, this is very annoying. Underexperienced site owners can create Teams without knowing how to use !
Let's prevent this by removing this option on the bottom left of all O365 SharePoint sites or putting security policies.
