Add Hold Music for the caller to hear
Add Hold Music for the caller to hear when doing a consult than transfer.
Microsoft Teams has shipped Music on Hold for PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) calls. This includes both one-to-one PSTN-to-Teams calls as well as calls made to a call queue. For more information about calling features, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/here-s-what-you-get-with-phone-system.

I cannot believe that Microsoft have not implemented hold music or beep tone in transfer scenarios. It is such a poor experience to the caller to hear nothing but silence whilst the transfer is being performed especially in the consultative scenario. The caller in some cases will probably end the call believing something is wrong. Come on Microsoft -- this is fundamental enterprise voice feature that customers should get
I wish this was configurable... If I toggle from a conf call to a meeting, I should be able to do this silently and disable hold music so everyone on the conference call doesn't get blasted with default music.

This is a fundamental feature and appreciate Microsoft has implemented it. Recently we noticed the hold music doesn't play for any queues and this is what I had to do (Not sure how long it will sustain though) - https://manojviduranga.wordpress.com/2020/02/11/silence-when-microsoft-teams-queue-call-put-on-hold/

unfortunately, this is not complete as it does not work for consult before transfer calls!
Hi All - I contacted Microsoft support regarding music on hold for teams. This is not working for us. When we put the call on hold, its just silence. Apparently this is a global issue reported by Microsoft.
Can someone please advise?
As of October 2019, Music on Hold is now working (see https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=50796). However, for us, we would like MoH also to play for the caller when the Teams user is doing a warm transfer. Currently, the caller hears nothing. This is unnerving for the caller - they don't know if the call has been disconnected...!?
Also, the ability to upload our own MoH file would be great.
Roadmap says it is rolling out October 2019: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=50796
any new updates on a release for MOH feature?
Seems the MOH feature has been further delayed and roadmap now suggests release Q4 CY2019.

Microsoft have been working on MoH for Teams quietly in the background it seems. Happy to confirm that Microsoft added MoH for Teams to the public roadmap today.
Even more happy to confirm that it says it will be out for release in June 2019. Next month!
+5000 - This needs to be added asap
Teams were offered and sold to us as a brilliant phone system. Now transferring calls to another user is not possible. The caller is placed in mediation in a dead performance. This is a system from 1995 not 2019. Please turn that off.
We were going to move to Phone System in Office 365 but we will not now, until the music on hold/advertisements is available.

I've counted to infinity three times.

A large number of our customers are asking for Music On Hold any time a caller is placed on hold (call put on hold, or during a consult transfer).
Still nothing new about this?
