Assign local number for conferencing throug Direct Routing
Now that Direct Routing is in GA it shold be possible to assign one of your own local numbers for conferencing.
For some customers it's imperative to keep their old conferencing numbers.

I think there is another UserVoice with the same aim: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/37774057-allow-direct-routing-numbers-as-audio-conferencing

This has been released for Some US Government Tenants, so we know it is technically achievable. We just need added to standard tenants.

The Skype-Online / Teams cost for Audio Conferencing is 30 times more than my cost to do with Skype-On-Premise. Audio Conferencing via Direct Routing is the only blocker left to us moving online.

looks like this is being enabled for GCC. Wonder if it will be applied to all tenants in future?

Customers don't want to change their published dial-in numbers and don't want to port the number to Microsoft. This is a classic scenario for customers who want to migrate from on-prem PBX to Microsoft Teams using Direct Routing.
