Option to hide the profile pictures of contacts within MS Teams.
The ability to hide profile pictures of contacts is available in Skype for Business. This option would be great for MS Teams and other applications as well.

Please provide option to hide profile picture. It is distracting, covers part of the screen and most of the time does not value add.

Please provide a user option to hide pictures. This will help with screen real estate AND mitigate distractions during a meeting. Why isn't this already part of the design? Teams seems much more social media focus than collaboration focus.

Its an absolute pain in the rear to have so much of the teams screen hidden behind profile pictures of other participants on the same call. If the pictures cannot be turned off, can they reduced to a minimal size or just a name, or better still moved to a second screen.
The team members are primarily in attendance to see meeting content not how good some other attendee looks

Doing a yoga class on teams - can't find a way to get rid of thumbnails of other students when teacher is pinned - this means I can only see the top half of the teacher - it is easy to do this on zoom so why not on teams?

Now that schools are using it, this is making me drop Teams completely, as I work at a Title 1 school and I have zero control over the images students are using.

Please can MS allow the user to toggle between images or initials. Much more acceptable for business.

When on a teams conference call we have a couple people who are very disruptive - moving around, getting up and down and it's very distracting. It would be great to hide those people - when needed

Now we have bunch of webinar, mostly including people outside organization. Hide our profile picture is quite essential, as this is our privacy.

In SFB we can have the option NOT to display the user's profile picture - as a result we h=get a more compact contacts list so you don't have to do so much scrolling to find a contact.
It would be great if Teams could have a similar option?

As a teacher,I've had students post inappropriate profile images, Is there a way we can disable images, just like mute? Some kids do this to get attention, and when an inappropriate picture is highlighted, the class is disrupted!

Having the option to hide the participant bar would be an enormous productivity win. We have a weekly call where one person shares their screen and we walk through change requests, etc. and I find myself repeatedly searching for a way to get rid of the participants bar. When your focus is on the content being shared, your first instinct is to close unnecessary things like this and it's frustrating to find there's no way to do it!

Absolutely a must option as screen real estate is precious. I need to see the content shared.

In meetings with multiple people having the same initials images are quite beneficial to identify who is actually on the call. For me it's my boss who has the same initials. Once our organization allowed profile pictures I was one of the first to upload one. Still in the initial view when no-one is sharing the profile pictures aren't shown and hence in many places at the beginning of a call my problem of being mistaken for my boss continues
I agree users should have a choice. But when people come onto a call it is good to have a picture greeting you. Integrated cameras aren't allowed for our current laptops because of issues on customer visits.
