Improve Pasted Image Quality
When I paste a high-quality image into a thread the quality is drastically reduced upon posting.
If I click on the image the high-resolution one comes back but that is slow. I take screenshots all day long and post them. It is very quick way to communicate IMHO.
I suspect there is an "optimzation" here for "thumbnails". Please improve this optimization or give us more control 😊, thanks!

Absolutely. But for me, the quality does not increase when I open the image. Both the preview and the opened image are the same abysmal quality.

This absolutely needs to be addressed by the developers.
I need to be able to quickly communicate designs with Teams,
but screenshots of a CAD screen become nearly unreadable when sent in Teams.
I have this problem when writing a word document in teams. I am creating a user manual that has like 200+ images in it. I just cant go on and save everything into paint first... I print screen and copy in the image and it is absolute **** resolution!
Yes please increase pasted image quality... jpeg >85%!

They should stop using lossy JPEG for screenshots and use PNG instead, or at least keep JPEG quality above 85 and use 4:4:4 subsampling.
Here is another side by side example:
The colours get completely washed out.
In noticed that if you download the file the quality actually improves, so it's a matter of how the image is being displayed (through a thumbnail or whatever). This is a killer for designer, really considering going back to Slack after this one.
To add to this. I've notice that even when the high resolution one comes back, it is full of artifacts that were not present on the original. Sometimes the artifacts can be so bad that any text can't be read or the what I'm trying to show people is obscured.
