When scheduling a meeting, send an invite to the entire Channel instead of Inviting each member manually.
Currently, when you create a new meeting you select the Channel to meet in and then have to type in each member to invite. I would like to just invite the entire Channel (so I don't have to type each member's name in) and each member get an outlook notification.

I think the challenge here is that in public channels automatically everybody is included (in private channels you don't even have the option to schedule a meeting). This could be fixed if MS would create specific MS 365 groups for channels and have an opt-in method off choosing to get notifications if the group is scheduled in a meeting or not

It should also be possible to simply add a list of comma-separated email addresses in the attendees field when creating an event.
And it should be easily combined with channel names as suggested.
And the event should appear in everyone's calendar. -

Why does this even need to be asked for? I can't fathom how this was released and didn't have the functionality that all team members are automatically included in a team channel meeting invite. This should not be considered a function request but rather a bug fix request.

Teams guys: this is so very basic and takes so much work doing properly (you can't even pause the invite to see check who is in the Channel and then come back to the invite) that it seems you haven't really used it yourselves. It is embarrassing not to have had this better worked out even before the product launched.

I agree with this: "As someone else commented, at LEAST give me the option to drop a semicolon-delineated string of email addresses into the invite field like I've been doing in Outlook for like 20 years." I just had to manually add 213 email addresses...

Also this is key to be able to use Scheduling Assistant to find the right time for this meeting in the first place!

This feature should also allow us to invite people who are not (yet) part of a channel. I frequently organise meetings with my team that include people from outside our organisations, and having to include their email addresses one by one is a pain...

Request to add/incorporate an option in the drop down menu itself of adding an excel file which would correspondingly add the necessary details (e-mail IDs, usernames etc.) of all team members through the data taken as input from excel file uploaded.
I think this feature would significantly make the process of adding team members a hassle free and efficient i.e not having to refer to multiple pages, saving their several searches thereby ease the process.
I hope this feature/service is also added to the Microsoft Teams platform as well, oh wait, why not all platforms of Microsoft incorporate this feature/service !
Thank you

this is really dumb not to have... just made me have to spend hours re-planning my next week.

Teachers often need to set up different blocks (classes) of students in separate channels within the same Team. For example, a teacher may teach three to eight different classes of students a subject, each class with its own channel. The classes may work at a different pace or be entirely differentiated. The classes/channels need to meet with the teacher separately from the other classes/channels. We need to be able to set up meetings quickly and easily for separate channels so that classes/channels have separately called meetings! We don’t want to need to set up multiple teams for one subject; very confusing.

This is badly needed, absolutely! Thanks for bringing this up here.

This feature is necessary for teams to be effective. As of now channel and team is useless for me.
I end up creating a new meeting everytim inviting same persons as my colleagues expect meeting invitation to show up in their calendar in outlook.

I have spent at least an hour trying to invite a whole channel without having to invite everyone individually. It's distinctly odd that you can't do this.

Hello, is this thing working?

This is so obvious and so needed, it seems like this is more of a "bug" than an enhancement request.

Definitely needed!

I would be perfect to have this as an option when creating an invite if you want to send the notification/invite to the team members rather than it being an always or never situtation.

Yes we need this feature.
Microsoft should do the needful ASAP.
