Delete meeting recordings and mention of meetings
When I record a meeting it posts it to the Channel. This is great, but there is no way to remove the recording once it is posted. I can go to Stream and delete it there, but the reference with a dead link still remains on Teams. Also, every time I start a meeting it leaves a reference in the channel. There is no way to delete those either. I'd love to be able to clean up my channels and remove all of those meeting references and dead recording links. Please enable the ability to keep an organized and clean channel!

Badly needed, a placeholder filled with test recordings or if auto record was enabled and which are then deleted from stream, leads to an unnecessary and confusing mess for general team members. Unprofessional is how I would describe it.
We need this delete we have users very unhappy . Original video was deleted but the link is not removed from Teams

Yes! We need to be permitted to DELETE these.
When it was done in the GENERAL channel, there is no option to just delete and recreate the channel. Owners and admins should be able to delete/purge these worthless posts
I agree and just voted. If the video is deleted, the dead link should be removed automatically OR the admin should have the rights to delete it from the chat. This is a no-brainer from my perspective.
Agree so frustrating this feature should be available.. need to change platforms not good enough!!

Six weeks since the last post, such an easy fix, and it still hasn't happened?
I am likely to switch platforms based on this, just when I had all my students getting used to it.
Add a Delete option for the Admin.
Admins need the ability to delete recordings. This needs to be rectified asap. I work in a school and we had a massive GDPR issue as a result of this. And had to delete the entire team - and lost all progress data and submitted assignments as a result.
It's very crucial for the owner of a page to be able to delete a recording after it's posted.
Surely Microsoft is exposed to liability if businesses have recorded illegal, libelous, racist, or confidential remarks that would harm those businesses if widely known.
Please fix this inability to delete recordings once posted -- immediately.
MSFT? This is why users complain about your interfaces...make this option user friendly please. As administrators (and TEam Channel owners), we want the freedom to decline or clean up our system generated Teams posts.

I did a test run before I started teaching; now, I can't delete the recording. This is so annoying. I deleted the video on one drive, but the link still appears in the meetings chats.
please give owners the possibility to clean post of meetings in a channel; If you have one student that doesn't know how things works it gives you a lot of message that you can't delete; please look at the picture in attachment
Two and a half years and not even under review for what must be one of the simpler requests on uservoice? Come on Microsoft....a response would be nice!

Please make this a high priority as it's an urgent requirement in schools!

I can't believe that any meeting I record (even if in error) appears on Posts - where I can't remove or delete it. Please sort it.
Please give us a way to delete these videos, there are safety issues involved.
Please enable the option to delete. Thank you.
Without the delete feature and the move away from Stream we are possibly facing safeguarding issues with pupils being able to access recordings. A delete feature will stop this. Please enable a feature to delete.
This is still an issue for primary schools too. With chat available in the calendar invite, the downloads can be accessed. Can this be disabled at admin level? I've tested having a private channel attached for the scheduled meeting and it posts details in the general channel post. This can only be deleted by cancelling the meeting afterwards but not sure if it affects a reoccurring meeting.
There was the option to opt back into saving to Stream - is this still an option?
Having the downloads available in the chat function enables all attendees to view it but this is not a requirement that some education settings need. If it saves to onedrive or Sharepoint can attendees access it there too? Would they receive a link to the recording? Any help would be appreciated. We don't want our students accessing the recordings so need an option to block.
The move away from Microsoft Stream has been disastrous for meeting recordings. We cannot find them (no, many people are finding they are NOT saved on their OneDrive or Sharepoint), have to dowload and re-upload them to share them with students, and cannot delete them.
With no option to delete, I will not be using the recording feature until they've sorted it out for privacy/security reasons if we are unable to delete.
I can't believe how Microsoft have managed to make a feature so much worse!
This is a safeguarding issue in schools, we need to be able to delete recordings immediately if necessary!
