Implement the ability to assign static meeting IDs
Implement the ability to assign static meeting IDs to users

This feature is planned and we’ll update as we know more details.
Regarding recurring meeting invites, the meeting link is unique so you can use the same meeting link for all instances.

Our user test base with Teams was completely on-board with migrating from WebEx to MS Teams. Then they found out that personal rooms were not an option and now we are deadlocked.
Static Meeting/Conference IDs would replicate the WebEx personal room functionality and finally let us kill WebEx.

Creating a “series” team meeting in MS Outlook is useless unless the calendar item for everyone is updated with updated meeting ID or have the ability to assign a static meeting ID. Worse, the frustration employees endured over this inability before discovering the flaw has left most executive and management employees with a bitter perception of Microsoft teams and all have asked to go back to the third-party conferencing that we used prior. Until a solution is implemented creating a "series" Teams meetings in Outlook is useless.

I think static conference id is the worst possible idea - my meetings are separate and especially given the fact that there is persistent chat associated with these meetings, they should all be separate. Having one static conference with all things mingled up would be insane for me.
With respect to having weekly meetings, I am unsure why a recurring meeting is not the right solution. The meeting join link as well as the pstn conf-id would remain same.

We have weekly conference calls with up to 15 participants, both internal and external to our government, and managing changing meeting IDs will be problematic. Please implement the ability to assign a static ID to allow us to shift from another vendor to TEAMS for the weekly conference calls.

I am inputting client contact info into a folder within outlook to then share with the firm. Two questions:
1. How do I actually share the folder
2. Once I share the folder if I make changes will everyone see them? If not, can I re-share the folder? -

Yes, please create the function that allows clients to self schedule meetings. Similar to Calendy.

This is a big advantage that Zoom has over Teams. Please let us know if this is on the road-map.

I agree, static conference bridges for situation room discussions is a must. Please introduce quickly I have customers who are keen to use zoom or Cisco to replace this critical piece of functionality.

I agree, please implement. We want to have a static number / conference ID that everyone can program into their cell phones so they can dial in while mobile. I work for a large fire agency and we need to have a static number for emergency coordination.

This feature is in all the other major video conference products available. Clearly missing from Microsoft teams. This is probably the only feature missing that prevents us from moving from Zoom. Otherwise, great product.

The ability to create a static meeting number and ID like you can in Skype/Lync would be an excellent feature. We use static meetings for major incident meetings and some of our sites use this method for emergency communication channels - the static meeting is published and everyone knows where to go if there's an incident or emergency.
It would be incredibly helpful to have this option.

In Microsoft parlance, I think we all mean a static Conference ID - just for the avoidance of doubt!
A static ID is important to many users including myself. The concept of a personal conference line is not new, in fact its quite commonplace and missing this use case is poor.
Is this going to be done? If so, in what timeline?

MUST have. This solution should target replacing ALL conf call capability in an Org. Without a static number it's close to useless.

I cant schedule an adhoc meeting because I need my Office client to create one as I dont have a static number which puts me back to have a mobile apps always with me.

I would also like a Custom Code that could be used.
As an example, in Join.Me, I can have my own code of either a Pre-Assigned Number (a static meeting number) or a friendly name that is mine going forward.
This way instead of having to create different meetings with random codes, I can simply add my code on to all of my meetings for consistency such as:

Thanks.
