Implement the ability to assign static meeting IDs
Implement the ability to assign static meeting IDs to users

This feature is planned and we’ll update as we know more details.
Regarding recurring meeting invites, the meeting link is unique so you can use the same meeting link for all instances.

@Alex can we get an update on this one? It's been 2 years since the last update from Microsoft

Following this thread as I too would like to see static meeting ID's.
***NOTE***
As a potential workaround, I set up a meeting for 8AM on 12/31/2199 which created a conference ID. This worked for about six months but stopped working last week. I am going to set up another meeting for the future with new conference ID's and hope that stays until Microsoft can "fix" this.

This would be super helpful for Teams Audio Conferencing for certain public safety situations!

Yes the idea does seem to have been hanging around for very long time. Zoom has this capability standard. If teams is supposed to be competitive with zoom as a online training tool it needs to be easy to use and administer.

High School Teacher. I use MS Bookings for private meetings. I also have open office hours when any and multiple students can drop in extemporaneously and get help with work. Need a permanent link I can embed in a hyperdoc in Schoology that students can click and join me in my "office".
Not discussing proprietary information here, just trying to teach in this hybrid learning environment. WebEx's personal rooms work for this. -

Microsoft Teams is an overbloated... Poorly designed... Piece of ****.... Who in **** thought it would be a great idea to have chats live until you select hide? Who in the **** thought it would be a great idea not to have a static meeting credentials? Really do these Microsoft people ever work? Managing work forba shared services group covering multiple projects... Teams is a total drain of my time.... Instead of helping to streamline my day to day activities it only adds to it...

Hello
I see that this request that I'm also interested in was asked in 2018, we are now in 2021, any chance to see it anytime soon ? -

We need this, similar to a Webex Personal room. Colleagues can drop in and chat as if I was in the office (cube).

Need an easy to access permanent meeting site for my recruiters. The candidates are all non-technical and need instant access to the meeting lobby. Help!

We need an option for an Microsoft 365 Audio Bridge id that does not need a meeting to be book. A phone only bridge reusable perpetually.

When will this feature be available? I teach HS students. They want an easy link. So unless I want to go and update GC each time, it isn't going to work. I need one STATIC meeting link that I can use weekly. I thought it would help if I made a meeting in Outlook and then duplicated it. But each meeting has a new link. Very confusing.

I initially thought this request was so 2015. But we are seeing more customers with unique emergency response scenarios (e.g. COVID) where having a static meeting would be perfect. Because in the chaos, no one has time to wait for an invite or someone to hit the Meet Now button. They just need to connect/dial-in and start talking/collaborating ASAP.

The problem we have is this. I create a long-term event and save it. Then I grab the link and send to a set of people for the 1st meeting. Later on I reopen the event and grab the same link again for a different set of people, but the original set of people in the first meeting get notified of the 2nd meeting because a chat was created.

It’s been a year since “planned” and no update? This is a vital feature for teachers and we really could use it ASAP!

It used to be possible in Skype for Business to go into powershell and assign an individual user a static ID. It was not advertised and the user still created new meetings within Outlook and such with a dynamic ID. That was ideal. Would be great to add that back into Teams.
