Caller ID for outgoing Calls
When you call someone using Teams as your Phone system, the caller ID on the receiving end only shows a phone number and location. It should be possible to tag the company name to the number for Caller ID purposes.

We are a business that has recently converted to full use of Teams, including telephones for external calls (about 200 users). While we love the system, we would appreciate being able to include our business name with the phone number, so our customers will know it is a business calling. As it stands now, it is just the name of the person making the call that appears when our customers answer their phones......
This feature is HUGE! We are in a TRUST business and member confidence in us is a main reason they do business with us. If they don’t feel comfortable discussing their banking with us because they cannot identify who we are, then we have no business. They’ll rather do banking with
another institution where they feel comfortable and confident talking to.

Come on MS!! This can't not be an option with a modern phone system.....very disappointed!
Really need this in Canada

As others have said, I'd like to update the text that is displayed to remote phones when we make an outgoing call from Teams. Currently on the city and state are listed. I'd like to enter customized text, but if we could at least choose from the company name or username, in addition to the current options, that would be something. It might be a good idea to put a limit on the number of times it could be changed to help stop fraud. I know that's an issue. Thank you!
All you need to do is email the US Number Porting Team at PTN@microsoft.com with the CNAM you would like. The CNAM must be of 15 characters including spaces. Just send them the list of numbers and the name you want them to display.

Come on Microsoft, we have migration candidates where Teams would be a great fit, but they cant interface with their clients properly without name and number caller ID services. Very puzzling that what seems to be a minor addition has not be addressed though the issue was raised so long ago. Let us know, either put it on the accelerated feature timeline or decline it. Our clients are going to move to a cloud platform, why not let it be the Microsoft cloud.

Hello Team, we need a text caller ID so that when we call on the customers on their phone instead of unknown number, we want my company name otherwise our customers won't answer the calls. please add the feature.

Not even a response from Microsoft since this was requested over 2 years ago.
Baffling that such a basic feature wouldn't have been one of the first things the Teams product team considered before heavily pushing this service.
Hard to believe this is not available in 2021

How is this not already on??? It's one of the basic feature that people need! A big Dealbreaker for most of our client and will not migrate because of it!

How is this even possible that it's not a feature? Has this been addressed at all? We literally just rolled out Teams Phone System and this seems like it cannot be done. The question is... why? People are no longer picking up calls from our company because they don't know who it's coming from.

I was pretty shocked also, Number, service # or Anon. Thats it? Would be nice to have business name with the person's # with it. UPVOTED!

we need this in Canada or we won't migrate to Teams

Absolutely, so important to have the Caller ID. I am researching another phone system that will show # and Name on a call. I own a patient management business in Canada. The caller ID has always been an issue. Thought Microsoft had this covered.
