Add Chroma Key green screen feature to Microsoft Teams meetings/recordings, similar to blur feature
Would like to add Chroma Key green screen effect for Microsoft Teams Meet Now meetings and recordings, envision working similar to new Blur feature, want to key out green screen background and replace with an image and/or Microsoft Stream / YouTube video -tg

Zoom backgrounds are amazing with a green screen. I cannot use the background images on Teams because they look so unprofessional. Very disappointing and I am sticking to Zoom and suggesting that my clients use Zoom when we work together so I look good as a professional trainer/speaker.

How is it February 2021 and Teams STILL does not have this feature?

I agree with all the others. Many people work from home and some have to give webinars with thousands of people. Having the ability to use green screen feature (like Zoom does), would make any presentation or videocall with customers/suppliers etc. more professional.

I tried a green screen. It looks great in Zoom, but is worse than nothing in Teams because the background still sleeds through--and now it gives me a green aura.

this would be a real professional add-on

In a corporate environment it is not easy to use OBS. A simple slider and color picker like Zoom would do nicely.
Beside you can create a green screen for 6$ by assembling 6 cardboards from the dollar store. Look it up on youtube.

The virtual backgrounds are too fake looking because as you move and talk sections fade in and out. It's not as professional as using a real Green Screen and having Chroma Key to filter out the Green background and get a clear sharp depth of field between speaker and background.

Not everyone has a green screen. I get that but surely it can be that difficult to add support for this as an optional feature. Using OBS looks almost as bad as the "no green screen magic" background effect.

Absolutely for sure needed.

Switched to Teams from Zoom earlier this year, but the lack of proper green screen support is one of the remaining gaps vs. Zoom that is causing me to switch back to zoom.

Finally got a green screen for professional web meetings, which works great for all of my Zoom meetings. But the MS Teams meetings look amateurish due to outlines not being sharp. Please add green screen functionality the same way as offered by Zoom.

This really should be implementet, but for those of you screaming that you need this right now I would advice looking into setting up a virtual camera in a software like OBS. That way you can make whatever greenscreen setup you need and simply choice "OBS webcam" in Teams.
You find some information on how to get it working here: https://streamshark.io/blog/using-obs-as-a-virtual-webcam-on-windows-and-macos/

Microsoft. Really! I want to switch over from Zoom, but without Chromakey to use my Green screen it’s hokey and unprofessional.

Seriously! Zoom video quality is better than Teams most of the time. My company has decided to use Teams but I won't use it if I don't have to. Microsoft is behind the curve again by not having chroma key for it's VIDEO conferencing software.

I am so disappointed that this doesn't already exist. Was banking on using a green screen for our work Halloween party that will be over Teams. Without a green screen, vital parts of my costume are being left out of the video :(

My studio for teaching is set up with green screen and professional webcam. In Zoom, the chroma key feature allows crystal clear backgrounds without any halo effect. Why on earth wouldn't Microsoft enable the same functionality as Zoom does when using a Green Screen? Is this coming soon? Spent thousands on the ability to do this, now my organization is switching to Teams and the background looks terrible without the Chroma Key feature available already in Zoom.

Really bothersome that this doesn’t exist. Since my laptop is locked down I can’t use the alternatives suggested on line.

Would really appreciate an option to use a real life, physical green screen, like in Zoom. Work computers are locked down, so using a 3rd party software to chroma key and piping that into Teams is a non-starter. Virtual background is okay, but doesn't cut it most of the time.

This is a no brainer, IMO it should be the TOP ITEM on the Microsoft Teams development To Do list!!!!
