Mute team notifications on channels and teams when team is not favorite
When you don't want to leave the team, but it is not actively worked on (so, it is not favorite) , there needs to be a option to mute all team and channel atmention notifications from it. I would want to stick in the team so I can be atmentioned when needed.
Currently, if you unfavorite team you still get notications
- when somebody atmentions the team (as per documentation)
- when somebody atmentions a channel that is favorite (even when the team is unfavorited)
- when somebody atmentions general channel of unfavorited team (since you can't unfavorite general)
Now the only options available are
- disable team and channel mentions on teams (not good, these are needed)
- disable all team and channel notifications (these are needed on favorite teams to easily reach out to people)
- leave the team (you don't get atmentions by name if your input is needed)
It would really be helpful if this could be resolved since I'm part of several teams where a lot is going on but I'm only involved in one or two channels. Now I get notifications for all channels even the ones I'm not following.

Please add this, it really is just a big stream of notifications I don't care about. I am doing admin for our company Teams installation, and its really annoying to see every single notification...
Please add this, really. The only option is get spammed or miss all notifications (including important ones). So we are forced to get spammed and be disturbed all the time
Please add the ability to mute specific teams/channels from notifications. I am being bombarded with notifications, but I can't leave the teams. Thank you.

I am currently the Owner/Admin of over 100 Teams for my organization. I'd love to have the option to mute entire Teams and channels. I get hundreds of notifications per day when users mark posts as important or use @team @channel mentions. I only administer the teams, I don't care about the conversations going on inside them.
I think it would be great to mute for a period of time. Like I'm heads down on something and i'll check teams in 30 minutes, so let me mute for that time.

This is desperately needed. As I write this, I have a Team that I want to be apart of as a cross collaboration, where I'm the lead and liaison for my Team, and we occasionally have good reason to collab when our work crosses paths. Since they're a production development team, they're constantly pinging general for code reviewers. I'm not interested in that, but I'm not enough of a reason for them to change their behavior.
A good solution to this is to use the Slack method, where you have an 'Active' general shout, but then you have an 'Everyone' general shout, so regardless of your settings, you get notified, as would be appropriate when you have an urgent message you need collaborators to see (and the point of chat is to not waste time adding individual names).
Teams is unusable without this. Too many notifications, very distracting
PLEASE, I'm begging you. Give us the option to mute a specific team or channel that we maybe don't want to leave entirely.
PLEASE! There are a couple teams I don't want to leave, because I sometimes need to see what's in them, but the general day-to-day chatter is very annoying. I've unfavorited the teams, but I still get notifications.
Yes, channel specific notification settings is VERY important. You may be in a team that you don't need to see all the dialogue on. I want just notifications for specific @ mentions besides @General. Right now I see everything and it's driving our teams crazy!

This could be option in notification settings: mute team and channel atmention notifications of teams that are not favorite
