Users added to team line removed
In each general channel a new line gets created for all new users added to a team. Can this line be removed?
As an example I setup a team and get some posts ready for welcome messages and introductions, then when I add groups of people, after a few lines all my messages have pushed up and off the screen.
We have one specific team for all in the business and all the threads are getting lost as we add each department/individuals one by one.
From an adoption view,
We are a few weeks from rolling out Teams to all (250+), entire rollout will be via Teams i.e "My First Team" where they will have FAQ's, tutorials etc..
The first thing they will see is a channel with loads of posts about people joining the Team. Makes the first impression very bad.
Also agree with the examples and comments in the thread in general, this needs to be adressed asap, and a simple checkbox to toogle it on and off shouldnt be that complicated.
Its major issue that the business is being notified via teams that someone left the company before HR decides to send out a communication.

Adding my support to this issue. Very problematic for Teams with large membership such as Org Wide Team. There needs to be an option to turn of Channel posts about membership changes.

Please create a line to hide removing and adding people from teams.
The inability to remove members added to the Microsoft Teams is extremely frustrating. Conversations are delayed or missed related to the member list growth. I do not understand why customers do not have the ability to manage this feature to begin with and why time is now spent accessing this site requesting Microsoft to enable. Please remove this barrier for users!

This needs to have some action taken Microsoft. I agree with several of the comments that it becomes super annoying and takes away from conversations when you add / remove users to a Team.
Also for us it would be helpful to have a configuration item that let us switch off and on these type of messages.
As others have stated it makes an All Employees channel unusable. I can't imagine that Microsoft lives with this on their own internal Teams - the minute you see this happening it's obviously a train wreck.

Please fix this, new hires and exiting employees should be announced to the organization by management, not by Teams.

One of the most important things to do. The general channel in nearly unusable when dozends or hundred of people join or leave every day. Its impossible to see new messages there.
I think a button which filters the "joined" and "leaved" messages (with default "disable join/leave message") will be a good solution.
I agree that this is a terrible design and needs to be fixed immediately.

i'm new to Teams. Create an org wide channel and edit member list at begin. Teams is show to all removing users in chat panel and each member joining Teams see this info, this is bad for starting :(
This needs to be addressed ASAP

Teams members not like this messages. Needs checkbox in Teams Setting.
Drives me crazy....it makes it almost unusable. Nobody cares who has and hasn't been added, they want to see the posts. You shouldn't have to sift through rubbish to see them! Why not just allow the admins to switch these off as an option?
This is causing lots of confusion as users who have left the company are shown as leaving on the channel. IT Performs this removal immediately and sometimes before HR have released this information to the rest of the business, staff then see in advance of the message that the user has been removed. The other issue is sometimes a disabled account is re-enabled by IT, if it is part of a public or dynamic group, the user message appears as being re-added and people think the person has returned to the business.

There just needs to be a checkbox in the Teams Setting page "Show administration messages in General channel conversations?" Yes/No
Even if I switch of the notification some clutter messages remain. This is very annoying. Please add an option not to show any notification. This will improve the clearness and user acceptance of MS Teams significantly.
Please add this!!! It's very frustrating.
We currently are making use of Veritas Saas backup to backup our Teams groups and each time a backup is performed, Saas backup adds the "backup" user to every single team. This is necessary for the backup to happen, but its also a security concern raised by the business because the backup user now has access to confidential info. So yes, there should be an option to mask users joining or leaving teams channels.
