Users added to team line removed
In each general channel a new line gets created for all new users added to a team. Can this line be removed?
As an example I setup a team and get some posts ready for welcome messages and introductions, then when I add groups of people, after a few lines all my messages have pushed up and off the screen.
We have one specific team for all in the business and all the threads are getting lost as we add each department/individuals one by one.

Thank you for your feedback! To improve the message pane in General channels, we have moved system messages to our info pane. For details see https://support.microsoft.com/office/show-channel-info-in-teams-61c3319d-a2c0-4b60-99b9-3226b9e248f9.

For us this lack of this feature has completely removed our ability to utilise organisation wide groups as when we provision users it announces to the entire company. We often provision a new users in advance of them joining and well before any official announcement has been made

I would also like to see this added - and also XXXX has removed YYYYY from the Team. It seems that XXXX has not actually removed the person - it is often that they have left the company. We all find these notifications distracting and if there could just be a data log of who has joined and who has left a team that is private to admins, that would be a lot more useful and sensitive.

We will like this feature to be made available.

Not just adds, but removals as well. If an employee is suspended or terminated, it's not great for other Team members to be privy to this.

As a team leader with many hundred members on a departmental teams site, whenever a new employee is hired a notification is sent to everyone on the teams site that the person has been added. More problematically when someone leaves through resignation, layoff, or termination it also sends a notification to everyone on the team that the person has been 'removed' from the team. Unfortunately in today's business environment we are forced to layoff many employees and this feature is like a running list of layoffs with a notification sent to the entire team and can be a morale issue. Can a disable feature be added to turn on/off the notification for new or deleted team members?

Looks like this was updated today - I can't see any of the 'this user was added or removed' in my Teams as of 09/17.

Our school is using the School Data Sync and it has become extremely disruptive to have users coming and going. There are also privacy concerns for students as they drop and add courses. Our instructors are extremely interested in this feature.

Same here, but then for the '...has removed... from the team' option. I'm surprised that a chat program doesn't allow admins to moderate on a more detailed level, like they used to do in the old days. I mean, if Mirc or Pirch could do it, how hard can it be..?

I think it's important to show when people are added to a Team but not so much when someone is removed.

Any idea when we can see this in production? Every time people are added and deleted from a large team we have, the announcement message I have for all to see moves up above the view. I keep recreating the post since I can't copy either. Love to see it soon!!

I am getting the notification as someone removed you from the meeting. Are there any chances we can get to know the person's name whosoever removed me from the meeting?

I have team member notifications turned off but I still see the **** things and it makes seeing actual content more difficult. We have a lot of turnover and I do not actually care if someone enters or leaves the team.

Agree that the long list of new/removed team member notifications looks ridiculous if there is a large shift or ongoing changes in the company!
Can we at least hide it??

This is a problem often because of Teams' behaviour.
We as IT admins removed a user from our systems. Then, teams showed "User A has removed user B from the group"
The problem? User A has not been in the company for 6 months. But he was owner of the team still. So people wondered if he had logged on and removed the user
It also looks bad when a user is actually removed from 365, not just teams. This message should only show up if an actual "remove from team" action was taken

This is not a problem. All of you saying this is an HR problem as people see who is leaving, is it a better option that people think they are still with the company? This indicates you need to work on your company values and atmosphere, not the technicalities of Teams.

This is of high importance, offboarding employees is difficult when other staff and students can see the employee being removed from the team.

As a teacher, this makes it challenging for students to locate material. They have to sift through notifications.

This has become a big issue for us. We can not fully off-board employees without the whole company knowing.
