Automatic recording meetings
If you know beforehand that a meeting should be recorded then it would be nice to have an option when scheduling the meeting to start recording automatically. This can help with not forgetting to start recording and save some time and effort not having to remember to do it manually.

Agreed, an automatic record option - that could be set as a default by tenant, user or meeting - would be very welcome. There are many Teams meetings that do not automatically need recordings, but equally there are many kinds of meetings - advisory panels, boards, etc. - that really need to be recorded by default.
This would be nice to have in Teams as we have this previously with another solution

Yes, definitely need this. Would also like ability to set it at user level (e.g. "record all my meetings") and/or to set all meetings in a specific team channel to always record.
Every so often I get caught up in what's happening on the call or some administrative matters when starting the call (getting everyone to show up, etc.) and then I forget to start the recording. So we'll sometimes miss the beginning of the call which sometimes contains very important data.

I'd add a user-level option (as in Zoom) to default all your meetings to auto-record.
We have this now with BlueJeans (merging with Slack). We have a dedicated scheduler for our purposes and it is far more likely that she is going to remember to tick the box to set the meeting to auto record than the various presenters are. We consider this a must have that will be sorely missed as we complete migration to TEAMS.

Yep this is a great idea.
