Change status to away when computer is locked
When I lock my computer, automatically change my status to away. I don't expect the web version to be able to do this but the client should be able to.

Stunned this is STILL a feature request after 2 years. This still doesn't work. I lock my windows and my Teams keeps ringing in the background because my colleagues still think I'm logged on.
Please... change this. It can't be rocket science. -

Please set the status to away when the computer screen is locked! This is very important to all organizations migrating from Skype for Business.

Please let us configure what happens when we lock our keyboard. Usually, I want to appear away, but sometimes I may want to go to the mobile app and appear available...it should be my choice.

My status changes when I'm in a meeting but otherwise always stays green even when logged off.

With Call Centers, status is everything! With the Desktop app loaded, you should be able to automatically set your status to Away when the computer is locked. Please make this happen like in Skype.

I can appear to be in space during a video meeting but I can't choose to change my status to away when I lock my system. There could be a priority issue here...

Very annoying every time I am going on a walkthrough to the field for example and I still have the app open on my phone but it shows as away. The app shouldn’t be switching to away because is open on the background.

Can Ms TEAMS check if you shutdown your computer after click in?

Appreciate there is some complexity WRT to multiple devices, but this basic functionality that is missing that exists in Skype for Business (and every other mature chat client)

This would be a very nice feature!
Currently considering Slack vs Teams. Slack has this functionality in place! -

What if someone is working on two computers though? When one locks, Teams would need to be smart enough to see you are still Available on the other and not change status. Similarly I will sometimes lock a computer but then check for messages using Teams on my iPhone. I want to still be seen as Available in that case.

This is a great idea for a feature! It would really help me and my team.

Better still, the option of actually being logged out when a computer is locked.
This would provide a security enhancement for PC's with generic/shared logins, where users are separately logged into Teams as themselves. -

If Teams is supposed to be an Enterprise level application, it should be able to detect a locked or shut down computer and automatically update the status to Away or Offline, no matter what the status is set to at any time. You may not always be able to manually set the status before walking away or shutting down, nor should you have to (again, it should be advanced enough to detect the change and update the status like S4B does).

The only options I get are when your in a call for auto settings -

This MS article suggests that it already works when Available. Are you asking for this to work on all other statuses?

MS Teams doesn't set my status to Offline when I shutdown my computer. My client thinks I'm online and not responding back. I got an escalation. I explained my issue to two level of my managers but they are not ready to accept this MS Teams status malfunction issue. I never had such a piece of unstable software from Microsoft.

This is basic chat software functionality, I was shocked that I could not find it already included.
