Ditch the Wiki in Teams, import the Wiki app from SharePoint. Better yet, implement WikiMarkup
The wiki function in teams is really poor. At least SharePoint's Wiki app allows you to [[link to existing or future page]] with double brackets. It would be great if you implemented true wiki mark up (as a toggle if you want to let people use a richtext editor)
Users will be more likely to adopt your tool if you use follow long-established methods like what is described here:

I was about to add this exact comment but @Larkin got here before me. Teams wiki is not by definition a Wiki yet. I was vey excited to see a wiki tab and was disappointed to see it was a notepad. Ward Cunningham includes in his definition of a wiki in his original book (2001) "The Wiki Way" "Wiki promotes meaningful topic associations between different pages by making page link creation intuitively easy and showing whether an intended target page exists or not"
