Add a "Raise Your Hand" feature in meetings
When in a meeting with multiple people it would be nice to have a way to signal that you would like to speak so that you can be called upon by the meeting organizer.
This would allow users to show they have something to say, but they do not want to interrupt

We are happy to announce the general availability of this feature for Windows, Mac & Mobile devices.

Also, another very important feature should be introduced in teams that an owner of the meeting can grant access to any participant as the co-host of the meeting who would be able to manage & have options same as the owner.
This would be highly appreciated if you may consider.

To minimize interruptions in Teams meetings, it should be possible for all participants to signal that they want to speak by clicking a "Raise Hand" button. All other participants should be able to see who has requested to speak as this is an essential feature that needs to be included.

So many more excellent ideas in the feedback relating to the development of the meeting interface. Raising hand has taken months and we now need the ability to automate the counting of votes. Now that would be a WOW feature for our board members I'm sure!
Thanks -

Will this be coming?

Will this feature keep all participants on mute until the organizer unmutes them after they raise their hand? Currently users can unmute themselves which isn't great for classroom style meetings.

This will give the presenter the option to unmute individual attendees in an MS Teams meeting which is useful when you have muted everyone. Attendees can indicate they have a question to ask by Raising their Hand

Great to hear that this it coming. Please consider adding raise hand feature as well as a separate poll/vote feature. Teams is an excellent tool but is behind other conferencing tools in regard to these two features. Thanks.

This wouldn't be a big change in UI but very important while working from home.

This would be a simple UI change. Just show a hand next to the user name in the list of attendees. I just searched for this feature because it would be very helpful in daily standup to be able to "raise your hand" when you're ready with your status report, then "lower your hand" when you're done, so that everyone knows who's gone and who hasn't.
A total count of raised hands at the top of the attendee list would work well for fast voting.
