Add a "Raise Your Hand" feature in meetings
When in a meeting with multiple people it would be nice to have a way to signal that you would like to speak so that you can be called upon by the meeting organizer.
This would allow users to show they have something to say, but they do not want to interrupt

We are happy to announce the general availability of this feature for Windows, Mac & Mobile devices.

Some options to make it better than zoom or Jitsi:
1. Set partiaicpants with raised hands on top of the participant list in the right order of their hand raise.
2. When they speak, the hand disappears.
3. Highlight the icons when they raise their hand. -

Please consider the following functionality with the raise hand feature:
1) allow the host to lower hands after the participant has been called on/addressed
2) allow the host to lower ALL hands at once (use case: Q&A ended, new question pending and new vote is needed, no additional time on schedule)
3) sequence raised hand list in the order in which hands were raised (use case: participant has answers to a question but gets it incorrect, the next participant on the list--in order of raised hand--has the opportunity to respond) -

Virtual handup for questions, with a number for the order it was raised (NIL), meeting organiser can mark once answered

I see it available on some apps. I have installed the latest desktop App on my Windows 10 computer and I still can't see that feature. What could be a problem?

Most of my co-workers have gotten this feature within the last week or two, but I do not see anything or any hand raising they might do (even using the Windows client). This is highly confusing.
Staged roll-outs might suit your engineering teams well, but if they are not clustering roll-outs in an organization together (across ALL client applications, Windows, Mac, Linux, web), it actually destroys value for your customers. -

Ditto what Krista said. I keep trying to get staff to use Teams for internal meetings, but no ability to raise a hand and limited ability to see all participants in gallery view is forcing folks to zoom. I hear we'll soon have 3x3 which is better...

Will this update also go to the linux version? I switched from WebEx to Teams because Teams seems to work better on Linux, but this missing feature has been a problem.

Is this also coming to the iOS teams app. A lot of features available of web versions are not available on the teams app for iOS and it’s really frustrating.

We need control of muting or allowing mic access to guest users that join our Public Board Meetings. We have a legal obligation to allow access to our board meeting, and our public/guests have a right to speak during our public forum time. We need to be able to control muting their mics and cameras, as well as allow them to raise their hand to speak when they have public comments. Please consider, thank you.
