Prevent meeting participants from stopping a recording
There are times when I'm hosting a meeting and presenting content within my organization. During the recording anyone in my org that is attending my teams meeting can stop my recording. A setting to prevent others from stopping a meeting hosts recording is necessary.
We have confused Teams users that think stopping the recording will prevent them from being recorded. Instead they are stopping the recording for the meeting host which then causes fragmented clips in microsoft stream.

I totally agree with this idea and also agree with the comments. Starting and stopping should be prevented by participants if there is no legal issue (GDPR).

It is not controlled in meeting options as far as I can see!

This is controlled in "Meeting Options" — https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/roles-in-a-teams-meeting-c16fa7d0-1666-4dde-8686-0a0bfe16e019?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us

During a training demo with co-workers, one of the users stopped the recording. That ruined things. I need a setting or policy option like "prevent participants from stopping the recording." Also, "prevent participants from starting a recording" should be added too.

We have a few sensitive meeting subjects that come up where we want to limit the ability to record in a specific scenario. Would love the ability to have per meeting settings to stop the ability for folks to record that particular session as well

Participants should also be prevented from STARTING the recording. I'd like to see that limited to the meeting organizer.
