Support device call controls
Support call controls for popular 3rd party headsets (handup, mute) like Plantronics 740-M or Jabra.
The team is working to address issues with call controls that occur for users running both Teams and Skype for Business. We will let you know when there is more to share.
Hi any update on this issue
JABRA Evolve Link MS Controller for Evolve 40 doesnt‘t work with teams. No volume or mute button!
This is Shawn from www.headset.com, and I'm here to tell you that the issue you are having is easy to fix, so please don't panic!
Microsoft uses a different standard for USB call controls (specifically mute, answer and status) than many other UC applications. This started a very long time ago and predates Teams, which uses the same standard.
If your headset is not using the Microsoft control standard, you can either switch the standard in the firmware, or use bridging software to get those controls back.
To complete this, download the matching sofware from your headset manufactures website.
This software is 100% free, and available from their websites.
The software is Plantronics Hub (formerly known as Spokes).
Use Jabra Direct 2.0
For Sennheiser Communicationst:
Use Sennheiser HeadSetup Pro
Thank you and please enjoy your headset!
pickup/hang up and mute buttons on Jabra 85 don't work with Teams. With Skype for Business they are working perfectly.
running a Plantronics W745 and as others have found I have to sign out and close my SFB for the call controls to work. It's funny that I can run Cisco Jabber and SBF and they work together with the same headset. yet 2 Microsoft products can't?
So next I will have to close Word to spell check an Excel spread sheet.
It is very inconvenient as I have contacts that have not yet transitioned from SFB to Teams.
+1 for Jabra Speak 510
Logitech H570e, Teams doesn't understand to control the Mute (Button in Hardware for Mute with Status LED). Works perfect in Skype.
Jabra EVOLVE 20 MS: Teams ignores Mute button
The Dell Pro Stereo Soundbar AE515M (sfb certified) the answer and disconnect buttons do not work with Teams. Note: I was testing on a computer without SFB installed on it.

My Plantronics 8200 UC. Mute is not working either with teams, it works perfectly in Skype for business.

As my company transitions from Skype for Business to Teams, it would be nice to not lose this useful functionality for devices like the Jabra Speak 410. We did our first teams call across multiple offices today, and everyone was confused because it looked like their puck wasn't working.
Need this feature
Hi, same issue with Jabra Evolve 75e - physical mute button does not change anything in MS Teams calls. On skype for business it works perfectly

Can't use my Plantronics Headset because of this annoying Dialtone in the background?!
C'mon, where are we, 1991 ?
User Issues with Jabra Pro 9450- Mute and unmute controls with MS TEAMs, if you unmute/mute using computer controls with MS TEAMS, the headset will not respond if you choose to mute/unmute from the headset.
Using Teams successfully w/ my Plantronics Savi W445-M and Plantronics Hub. Voyager 5200 UC works as well.
I use a Sennheiser Office Runner headset for PC-based calls (not phone lines) and can't get it to work w/ Teams without hearing a background dialtone. Phone isn't connected to a land line so I don't know why I'm getting a dial tone at all. Would be nice if you could make Teams work correctly with my $300+ headset.

this is why i hate MS products. how much longer till you provide at least an acknowledgement?
Someone please fix this!!! i can't believe we are still having this issue after so many reports of this 'bug' Teams and Skype are incompatible with SAVI series Plantronics headsets!
Also, if i'm on a Teams call... and launch skype for business... it ends the Teams call... very embarrassing.
I second Ben Raubenolt: Please fix this and allow it to work while Skype for Business is also running.
People from my company (have to) work with both Skype for Business and Teams, using Jabra Speak's. There is only one call active at a time, so the 'hang-up' button should end the active call.
the 'solution' to close Skype for Business everytime a call is done via Teams sounds like a temporary workaround, but this issue is reported and known for over 10 months now.
