Support device call controls
Support call controls for popular 3rd party headsets (handup, mute) like Plantronics 740-M or Jabra.
The team is working to address issues with call controls that occur for users running both Teams and Skype for Business. We will let you know when there is more to share.
Same problem here, Jabra LINK 510 + Teams.
No other Softphone installed.
Control buttons are not working anymore since a couple of weeks.
Purchased a Jabra speak 750.
Teams button is not working, mute/unmute works only once in a while.
Please fix this
Joining the issue.... replaced an old Sennheiser SP20ML for a SP30T which is Teams certified only to find it can (only) do exactly the same as the old one and has no Teams integration whatsoever. Please fix the call controls.
The mute / unmute function of my Jabra Speak 510+ is not working in Bluetooth mode, but working when plugged in USB mode. I am using it in Microsoft Teams (Free version).
My 510+ is MS version. Updated to the latest firmware via Jabra Direct today but still not able to get it work in bluetooth mode.
(update) The mute/unmute works when i plugged in the link 370 adapter. So, i still need to use my USB port for the adapter and connect to the speakerphone using bluetooth.
For the sake of data collection, I'll add our setups:
Windows: ranging from 1903 to 2004
Headset: Engage 65, latest firmware
First mention of problems started at the beginning of September, have been testing several setups/options for the past 2 weeks.
All RCC functions are affected (pickup, vol up/down, ...), there's no communication between teams and the headset.
We can still answer the call through the softbuttons and afterwards activating the headset with the pickup button.
Yealink CP900 buttons and indicator ring (muting microphone) not working anymore regarding feedback to Teams. Running Teams version 1.3.00.25755
Yes, we have the same problem with a couple of user accounts. If we login with one account on another computer, the problem still exists. If we use an other account, it works as expected. This must be an account specific problem. If we delete an account and create that one new, the call controls with the Jabra headset will work again.
Found out that the buttons (mute + Teams dedicated button) and status lights on my Jabra Evolve2 40 stopped working whilst logged in as a Microsoft Teams (free) edition account about 2 weeks ago. But, yesterday when I logged in using a paid subscription account (Office 365 E3) on the SAME computer, the buttons and status lights work as intended.
I wonder if this is something in the Teams user profile (like what @Jack said)
Also, I tried clearing the Teams cache for all users, but that did not make any difference.
Same here with Jabra 510. Muting/unmuting stopped working somewhere around the time Teams advertised (or me enabled) the new meeting experience, the hardware button as well as the LED indication.
Made another discovery......it seems to be something in the Teams user profile. Any Jabra headsets works on my PC. So I logged to my Teams account on another user's PC for which the headset controls are not working.
On that same PC, with my Teams profile, the controls work perfectly. With the other user's Teams profile, they don't.
Can anyone else reproduce this?
Same issues as other people here, started from beginning of September 2020 for me. Physical call controls on the headset such as mute button and the dedicated Teams Button stopped working on Jabra evolve2 40. Using Teams version 1.3.00.21759, headset firmware is updated to latest version. Windows 1909
Some users in our office are still using old Jabra's GN9350.
For some, it works flawlessly, but not for others.
Tried one headset working on one PC and it didn't work on another.
Ran same tests with Evolve 75's, same results.
I don't think this is a device related issue.
Adding to the crowd - Jabra Speak 510 USB no longer works with Teams for Mute/Un-Mute from device, nor do red mute lights show when muting within the Teams call. This worked fine until about 10-14 days ago. Corporate customers reporting same.
Newly bought Jabra Evolve2 65 MS "certified". The "certified" call pickup button never picks up calls or even brings Teams to the foreground. Windows picks up on it though, and changes the volume to the set level. But teams is doing nothing. All latest Windows updates, Teams, Jabra Software, Jabra firmware. It is unbelievable that they can call this "certified".

Same issue with Teams Version 1.3.00.21759. Incoming calls did not ring in the base station. All buttons do not work on the headset / base station.
Modell: Jabra Pro 9470 / Jabra Engage 65 / Jabra Engage 75
Call controls were working fine up to around about 27th August. I was using a Jabra Pro 9470 which is a little old. Have tried both a Jabra Evolve 75 and Jabra Engage 75 and all have issues. Call controls not working, cannot mute Teams by pressing the mute button on the headset.
Same issue as others - Muting in teams no longer syncs to my device (Sennheiser SP30t). Teams button on the SP30t doesn't work with Teams (was told this was a Microsoft issue)
It's been seven months of "Working on it" now. We are in Teams only mode, and also have this issue, so it's definitely not an Island Mode error. Up until a month or so ago, it was working properly. An update on this from an Admin is long over due.
Same issue as mentioned by York below. My Jabra Speak 510 stopped interacting properly with MS Teams recently. For example un/mute from the speakerphone button.
One step forward and two steps back as usual with Microsoft. Test your changes before deploying them, it is that simple! Please fix this!!
