Teams for Mac OS: allow for a (new) main window to be opened/created
The current Microsoft Teams has its main window disappear on me at least daily (and I'm not sure why that happens). The only way to get it back is to quit Teams and re-launch it.
Having a way to "File - New - Main Window" would be fabulous (short of figuring out why that main window goes away of course). This "Main window" exists for Outlook already.

The main window should not be closable, except when quitting Teams.
That should be a quick fix to implement. See e.g. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13556275/how-to-prevent-nswindow-from-closing-on-the-windowwillclose-method
Or add a menu item to open an (accidentally) closed main window. Option is greyed out if a main window exists.

Teams is a h3llscape on Mac. I have this issue STILL!

Yes, ongoing issue. Is this just being ignored, or is it in a backlog somewhere?

happens for me too. fix, please?
Almost two years old? This is hard to believe.
Yes me too. Baffled why MS can't sort this. Are we really just the poor cousins in Mac land? this is so hamfisted.

It's almost December, I have this bug too. A few times a week I need to reboot Teams.

It has been like this on both my Macs since I started using Teams 9 months ago. 2-3 times per week on each machine when I come back after some idle period/sleep the main window is gone and only the "Microsoft Teams Notification" window remains. I have never experienced the main window disappearing while actively using Teams.

Yes. I am baffled by why my window disappears, and why I cannot get it back without relaunching Teams...
