Enable the ability to Forward a non used number to an existing number.
If Teams is supposed to be a "phone system and more", then we should have the ability to forward a number we own to any other number we own without assigning it to a user. For example, I have 3 locations in my company. I would like all to call into one receptionist. So I need to be able to forward the other two numbers to the receptionist number.

We have ported 30 phone numbers from our company to MS Teams. Up to now 11 phone numbers have been assigned to an employee (user). Unfortunately, it is not possible in teams to forward the remaining numbers to a central number. Since these numbers are known to customers and the general public, they are also used and called. Then these lines are "dead", i.e. the caller receives no callsign and no announcement. Our customers think the company cannot be reached. This is not a satisfactory state. The numbers are owned by the company and do not belong to Microsoft. Therefore Microsoft has to give the company the possibility to manage all phone numbers. This needs to be changed urgently in MS Teams.

Is Teams really a "phone system" if phone system administrators can't route numbers to desired call treatments? Currently seems more like a 'carrier pass-thru to Teams users' system. Really could use this capability. Thank you!

This is something that should be included already. It's a matter of number-space functionality and dominion. Our numbers is our numbers!

This is needed, urgently. We ported over our toll free number, now our main service number is unassigned. A toll free number cannot be assigned for caller id so it shows the unassigned service number, when people call the number they get a not connected message. This is a hugh problem, so either a feature needs to be added to allow toll free numbers for caller ids or to allow a forward of an unassigned number

This has to be something every single teams voice implementation is wanting to do.
Upvote on this is definitely needed. -

I think you can assign unused numbers to AutoAttendants so the calls don't get lost.

We'd like to forward unassigned Teams numbers either externally or internally. Is this an option yet?

We have situations like this that come up fairly often. We will have an employee leave the company. We need to forward that # to a manager or other employee until a replacement is hired. I see no way of doing this.

I voted for this two years ago with Skype for Business Online, but Microsoft is not listening our voice: https://www.skypefeedback.com/forums/299910--recently-released/suggestions/10534548-add-unassigned-number-handling-or-forwarding%C2%A0
