create task from chat
Make a task in Office365 form chat message, We often communicate by chat so if somebody asks me something to do in a chat, we would like to be able to make it a task with just one click (or 2)
Here is another idea... How about marking a chat with a flag or a check like in Outlook mails. The number of flags (tasks) could be shown next to the channel title on list of Teams and channels. Of course full integration with To Do and Planner would be great. To Do for personal tasks, and Planner for team/project tasks.

Alternatively, create another "reaction" (thumbs up, heart, laugh, surprised, etc.) for a to-do, then let us filter specifically for that reaction.
So true. Tasks are most frequently not risen on a meeting but rather in a chat. Make this a feature so that one can choose to add the task to multiple sources - Planner or ToDo.
Agree, my 'things to do' get lost in chat messages (that are marked as read) and I lose track of them. Create one Planner Task from one of more chat messages would help me to get things done. I would like to assign them to myself and/or to others.
I would need to change a chat into a planner task

Agree, perhaps to change a chat directly into a Outlook task or To Do Task.
