Block the Team owner from changing the name of the Team. Only Admins can change the name of the Team.

This is a very important issue. We are unable to enforce our naming convention. Teachers keep changing the name of their teams. Please add this feature quickly !
Admins need that control.
+1 for this. We also need to enforce naming convention.
Having teachers able to change the name of the Teams Class is an issue.
With Covid-19 and distance learning, we also had to fast track implementation of Teams for Teachers/Students.

+1 for this. Due to COVID-19 and distance learning, we fast-tracked the implementation of MS Teams. Trying to enforce naming conventions is impossible, when teachers can change the name of their class Teams at any time.

Microsoft do you have any update to this? We have issues also if a user change a avatar the team name is updated to group policy name even if it's created by a central naming convention.
Can you please add this feature? I cannot believe you haven't done it already. What is the point in us trying to follow best practices and use standardized naming conventions to keep it tidy if you're going to allow Karen to change the name immediately after creation. THANKS.

I want this
Agreed! We need this!

+1 from our organisation too. This is causing our organisation issues with the underlying team email address becoming disconnected from the Team name.

Feature required as naming policy is not broad enough and also applies to Distribution Groups. So to enforce a standard we need to prevent this
+1 from me. A naming convention is key when scaling to more than just a few Teams.

Agreed. With admins having some capabilities that team owners do not (especially with enforced naming policies) there needs to be a way to lock out the owners from inadvertently breaking something custom.
I absolutely agree! This is a major issue especially when you try to enforce naming policies it allows any owner to really bork up the Team name. I think this should be a Team by Team setting.
