We really need "Paste as plain text" in the Teams desktop client
Please add a "Paste as plain text" option to the right-click menu in all text areas in the Teams desktop client that accept formatted text.

Why is this still an issue?
Why is MS insisting on making our lives miserable. That's such a simple thing that so many people ask for! -

I Hate that I always need a notepad window open just to clear the formatted text i want to paste into teams and other windows apps.

Any update on this? Apparently CTRL-SHIFT-V used to do this, but was re-assigned in a later release. Right-click "Paste as plain text" like other Office apps is probably the ideal way to do this, though a keyboard shortcut is needed for accessibility as well.

Nearly every application on the planet features "right-click > paste as plain text" How has this not been implemented in the desktop client yet ?!?

This feature was requested already and marked as complete... in what world is a feature like this implemented as a keyboard shortcut (with no documentation for users to know about it) marked complete? It seems you don't even use the product.

Yes, this is killing me!
When i highlight a line of text from Microsoft Word, which has been formatted with a heading style - Right Mouse [Menu] Button -> Paste always eliminates the heading numbers with the heading names.
For example:
Teams: 1 Important Firmware commands:
needed: 3.7.2 Important Firmware commands:This makes is very difficult to deal with support calls, referring back to an original document which contains the information the people need.

There's indeed no right-click paste as plain text option, but try the keyboard shortcut shift+ctrl+v instead as a workaround.
