Option to change global font size in Teams & apply settings to incoming messages like you can in Lync
Very important for visually impaired individuals. Lync has an option that allows you to specify the global font settings and then click a box that "applies settings to incoming messages."
This means that someone like myself, who is visually impaired, can then set the global font to say 16. Then all messages I type will be at size 16 and more importantly, all the messages I get back from people are going to be size 16 as well.
This option also allows people who Don't want to see messages in size 16 -don't have to. They can specify their own individual font preferences.
Currently, our company uses Teams and the inability to set global font sizes and control what size incoming messages are displayed at is causing difficulty. It can be set for Each individual message Every time, but that is neither convenient nor really usable as it does nothing for the incoming font size.
I would think Microsoft would want to make their products as user friendly as possible- especially for those who are visually impaired.
This default font is so terrible,my eyes were so tired

I cannot use this app. The menus are too small to read. I have a job interview that wants to use it. Shame Microsoft only wants people with good vision to be able to get a job.

Microsoft, please - do change the Global font size in Teams & apply settings to incoming messages.
I would like the ability to customize/ change my font permanently for outgoing messages as well.

The current default font is nearly terrible for me to read. need option to change fonts like skype for business
Agree. This is a dropped ball.
Is there a plan for a global font change and when?

Please make a setting for changing the font size in Microsoft Teams!
Got here because I can't believe the tiny font is not globally adjustable. Why Microsoft? Why? Even this site has tiny text.
How is this not a thing? Honestly how hard can it be to enable Teams to do this? To be honest I get on okay with Teams myself but I have a colleague with dyslexia who is having a nightmare using this and the Immersive Reader is no use since it makes the post HUGE and takes out a lot of the visual formatting cues such as bold and links.
Surely this requires minimal effort for huge rewards - given that 5-10% of the population has some form of dyslexia. (To put that into perspective, by NOT doing this, Microsoft is limiting access to Teams to the same proportion of the population as those of us who are left handed)
"I would think Microsoft would want to make their products as user friendly as possible"
go you one better... "you would think Microsoft would want to make their products usable"
one would think..
but then one remembers it is microsoft and they suck

I agree with the MANY requests to be able to globally change the font - you are not being at all inclusive of those who do not have perfect 20/20 vision!
The current default font is nearly impossible for me to read. I have to turn zoom up to 130% to even have a chance.

Agreed... happy with MS Teams, especially compared to SfB... but not being able to change the default text is frustrating. I too have visual issues, especially the small font. I have to start each message with Bold setting, and sometimes I forget and when i go back to double check the spelling and such, I have to really strain.
MS please look into enhancing your product ASAP.
ditto for another reason: I continuously paste terminal outputs to chat windows. I'd like to select a fixed size font such as "Lucida Console" as my default so they are readable for the recipient.
In group chats - the ability to change fonts, font size, and even font color is extremely useful in tracking comments from particular members (even though there is the icon to the side)
Speaker 1 may choose Times Roman 12pt in burgundy
Speaker 2 may choose Arial Bold11 pt in dark blue
Speaker three may choose Courier 14pt in hot pink
Much easier to follow who is saying what, and since Skype already had this feature- why not continue it in the "New and Improved" Product?
In case you are not still considering it - please do.
This is annoying and should have been in the beta version of Teams. This is a HUGE issue and scrolling through the lists it's very clear this is a huge issue for people and needs to be updated today. Add a parameter in settings like they already have in Skype to keep your font selection until you decide to change it. I don't understand how leadership didn't catch this while testing it or using it even a few times.
