Disappearing messages and replies
With the Windows 10 Teams app, this has happened a few times now: I post a message in a channel and a co-worker responds to it. I get the notification that they replies to my message and I can see it in the Activity tab. However, when I navigate to the channel, their response is not visible.
Additionally, I've quit out of Teams and restarted. When I navigated back the channel in question, my original message is no longer visible.
Not sure what exact steps are necessary to reproduce the issue because it doesn't always happen.
My colleague can see his response and the original message. If I log in with a browser, I can see the original message and his response.
This has happened to me while I was trying to convince team members to increase the usage of MS Teams... I couldn't see my original post neither in desktop app nor in the mobile app, but my colleague could see it in his desktop app. He then responded to the post, and it reappeared with the response in my app. This is a very critical bug that defeats the purpose of a messaging app.
I've had one user experience this same issue with previous channel conversations disappearing. Logging out and back in fixes it. This is limited to a particular platform however because the same user has access to all previous conversations through his/her phone for example.

Similar problem here, fixed after logging off/on Teams again (computer restart doesn't fix it)
workaround: Team sign out sign in again or clear MS Team cache. Looking for permanent fix

Did any resolution come of this? I have a user who no longer sees conversations in channels on the desktop client, but can see them on her mobile device.

I am experiencing the same issue here and would like to know how to resolve this.

We're seeing a similar issue in one of our teams. Some older conversation threads are disappearing without rhyme or reason. If the user knows what to search for, the message is found, so it's not being deleted. This happens in the web, desktop and mobile clients.
Hello! Has anyone of you gotten a solution? I have the same problem with a customer, a new post to a Teams channel/work space disappeared and cannot be found, even in Sharepoint's recycle bin.

To elaborate: the occurences that I have gotten reports of happening is on the latest version of the desktop client for Windows 10 Enterprise (build 17134), web client (tested in the latest versions of Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome) and Android app (latest version).
The user can see an activity to the message that has disappeared in their Activity Feed, but said message is not in the channel conversation.

I'm also getting reports of this occurring in a few teams in our tenant. I have a ticket with Microsoft Premier Support.
Note that this is happening for me on the Web App and in the Desktop App now. I see comments in the Activity Feed and they are not in the channel.
