Get Link > Microsoft Teams doesn't work
I'm getting report that the Get Link dialog to share files from Teams isn't working consistently. I've been able to narrow down the following pattern...
Get Link > Microsoft Teams - doesn't work

Get Link > SharePoint - does work.
Please look into why getting a Teams link within the Teams app isn't working.
An even better experience would be the same Share menu and UI that the other Office 365 apps use. It's the first thing our users ask when they have this Get Link issue - Where is the 'share' icon?
Please contact me if you want the full links to test with.

This is an annoying issue. If you click Get Link and send it to someone who doesn't not already have access to the file, a message displays for them to request access from the drive owner, which then results in access to the file as if they were a member of the team that owns that drive. If the person already has access, clicking the link obtained via Get Link will download a separate copy of the file to their Downloads folder. It defeats the collaborative intent of SharePoint and encourages redundant copies of files. The problem, I think, is that Get Link just copies the URL to the file. It doesn't create a shareable link with permissions assigned to the link (which is preferred, I think). I agree with Anonymous. This needs to be changed to Share File, where the dialog box displays for creating the shareable link and setting permissions on that link, or perhaps Manage Access, where the file owner can create links, plus add people to existing links, remove access, etc.
This issue is actually occurring here.
Is there any solution?
Pictures "Get Link Dialog"
It makes no sense only to have SharePoint-links available when using Teams-app.
Every time you follow a link you are leaving the teams app and find yourself in SharePoint.
How to explain the Users?
Pictures show the "Get Link Dialog" before and after the change.
