Transfer to voicemail option
In Skype for Business and most other phone systems, you can select to transfer a caller directly to voicemail (receptionists use this all the time). Teams does not have this option. It is very important for folks to not transfer to a ring-ring-ring experience if they simply need to leave a voicemail.

can this be done from the admin portal?
Need this to work from iOS/Android and also from Teams version 3rd party phones.

UPDATE: works on the desktop client (mac/windows) but not mobile or desk phone, any word on the later items?
Where do you find the directions on how to set this up/use this feature?
We have had the transfer to voicemail for about a month now and It is nice to finally have, but is a lot of maneuvering around. search for the person to consult, then you have to search their name all over again to transfer direct to voice mail. But... at least we have the option now.
This is a simple and basic function for all phone systems. It should be a standard feature.

Should also be able to select extensions' voicemail as options in autoattendant as well. I hope this is part of the feature that's in testing.
Ok, so I have this feature now, but it's too many clicks for an operator to do...
Process is... consultive transfer, find recipient, call or chat to recipient, recipient doesn't want to talk, call then goes on hold,
Now the extra work starts..
you need to click transfer AGAIN, then search for the recipient AGAIN, click drop-arrow next to transfer, select Business Voicemail.
This flow has too many steps.
Leave the recipient selected or easily available and have a button that isn't 1 level deeper for transferring to voicemail.

Will this feature offer the option of configuring external calls to be routed directly to VM, while allowing internal calls to ring the phone?
Looking forward to this feature being GA.

I am an Administrative Assistant and to transfer a caller directly to voicemail is essential. I appreciate you working on this feature and hope it will be available REAL soon.
Definitely NEED IT! Can't believe this feature was overlook in development.

This is crazy!!!! What a terrible service how long does it take to make a transfer to voicemail feature or # or * code where we can put a * or # before the extension or number and transfer it or a secondary number to transfer to a voicemail auto-attendant.
