Paste from Snag It! not working
I have a senior IT user who I work with, and I am able to copy and paste successfully using the Windows Snipping Tool into the Teams messaging field. However, my user uses SnagIt! for snipping screenshots, and is unable to use CTRL+V to paste an image successfully into Teams.
Hi, for me - capture whole windows in one click via Snagit then do copy & paste is not working.
But for me, I can capture by SELECT the area instead (drag mouse from top-left to bottom right) is working ok.
I was able to get my copy + paste successfully working by following SnagIt's Technical Support Advice:
Dawn, I couldn't agree with you more! I wish these program engineers would communicate and work together for the greater common good.
Paste the image into WORD and copy it from WORD... thank you Microsoft... AND DON'T BLAME SNAGIT... you will loose that fight

This is very frustrating as Snag It is a better tool than Snip It so having to creating images twice (because I automatically use hotkeys to get what I need from SnagIt), makes me want to use Teams less instead of more.
As a workaround, Snagit users can disable transparency for images that are copied to the clipboard in Editor Preferences.
SnagIt user here - paste image into Teams Chat works intermittently only. Everyday the same issue pops up where the paste feature does not work in chat, but does still work in other programs: word, outlook, and even Slack (which we moved away from to have a Microsoft eco system...) Kind of a bummer that there's no fix here and we'll have to go back to Slack just for this paste image feature.
Hi All - i've managed to get it working by removing the shadow option from Effects within SnagIt. I've noticed Teams does not know how to handle the transparent background when copied.
By removing the shadow, it all works fine.
Hope this helps.

Exactly Right! The ISSUE IS NOT FIXED. I cannot copy and paste an image from SnagIt. Since I do this about 30 times a day in Slack, Teams is not an option for our company until this BUG gets fixed.
I use snagit and have the same problem. The work around is to first use the Windows short cut to snag a region (Win-Shift-s), then paste that into Snagit Editor (Crtl-Shift-n). At that point I can mark up the image, Ctrl-A to copy it all to the clipboard, and finally copy it into Teams.

I have this issue when the image has transparent canvas. Works fine if I change to a solid color
If you have an issue with this I'd suggest voting on this issue:
Its not snag-it, its an issue with images in web browsers as well. But somethings, like Greenshot work fine
