Allow admins to set default Team language
Microsoft Teams desktop client team is set to US date format MM/DD/YYYY by default. It would be ideal if Teams would pick up the default language / date format (English Australia for example) from either the Operating System or allow the administrator to set the default language without user intervention.
We need to set the date format for all staff's in DDMMYYY. Unfortunately this has to be done by going to each user and change their app settings by changing the app language. We are looking for a feature that we can do this from the Teams Admin console. Also we need this format to be reflected in All office 365 Apps like Outlook,Sharepoint,OneDrive, Planner ..etc. Kindly work on this fix and we hope MS will release the solution ASAP

As stated in the comments, the whole configuration of Office 365 desperately needs a revamp to unify configuration in both location and content. This should ideally be defaulting to the org-wide O365 settings, but those themselves need a rule-based or layered configuration system where you can specify different settings by geolocation, IP, department, etc. One Rule to Rule Them All doesn't really cut it.

May i know when we will get this feature in Teams. I need ASAP.
Default team language effect how Excel shows the dates and it is a problem for teams who use other date formats.

Teams is built on SharePoint Online - which has hard-wired several critical settings like "default language". We have been struggling with this since we launched Teams, since our tenant was setup by our head office... in Sweden. I can tell you that our non-Swedish speaking employees - and indeed, all of our many partners that we invite into projects in Teams - not so impressed to receive notification emails in Swedish. Please Microsoft, do not hard-wire language choices. Anywhere.

Teams should never have been shipped without basic international sufficiency. This was not acceptable at Microsoft 25 years ago.
yes this is badly needed. Seems like too many things missing from all services that are not controlled by the admin and made as a responsibility to the end users who would not do it and moan about it.

The entire options system needs rework. There are insufficient ways to configure the Teams work environment.
