OneNote: Edit default view in the tab so you can see all of the pages within a section
The default view for OneNote notebook is set to "Hide All" so it only shows you the first section of the page. If you want to view the pages within a section, you have to click on View > Navigation Options > Show Only Pages. As soon as you click off of that tab the view defaults back to Hide All. It would be great if Team Owners could choose the default view.

Totally agree that the default should be showing all - but at least they could have put a more meaningful image on the button - to me the Navigation Options looks like three books on a shelf with one falling over :)

any reason why I don't get the 'navigation options' button in teams? I can insert the OneNote section and all the the other tabs are there. the navigation options button doesn't show up

I'm often astonished that hard work and development goes into creating amazing applications and functions in Teams (and other platforms) and then they skip fixing the annoying details. It's like they are satisfied when the app reaches 80% usability and is "good enough" for 30% of the user base.

When and where do we get a reply from MS to this? "I need the default view for a OneNote tab in MSTeams, to show both Sections and Pages, not Hide All.

This would be really useful if it was an option.

Can only agree with all of the other comments - for OneNote to work within Teams one needs to be able to choose a default view that shows the navigation structure: most people will never guess or be bothered to click on the small navigation icon that reveals the structure and content underlying the default page view.

Another vote from me...can't believe this isn't an option!

Agree with everyone else here. For OneNote in Teams, please make the default Navigation Panes view be user configurable, and make the default "Show Sections and Pages." I have users that may not open OneNote for weeks at a time, and they forget how to open the sections and pages view, or that it even exists. All of our "How to" documentation is in OneNote and I'm trying to get my user's accustomed to using that documentation for help on procedures. It's sad that they need a sticky-note on their monitors to help them find the help documentation. And, to be frank, it's annoying to have to re-open the sections and pages panel every time I, or anyone else, opens a notebook in Teams. Thanks!

Please allow users to set their preferred default view. This is so not user friendly

This is a usability disaster and significantly reduces the effectiveness of OneNote in teams.

PLEASE FIX! Love Teams, but small things like this make it less appealing!

Please fix this. We link to a Knowledge Base on OneNote that isn't very useful if it looks like there is only one article there when people access it for guidance. Allow views to be saved as defaults!

Please fix this ! Would be way more efficient to access the tabs at the openning of the app, or inside TEAMS !!
IT's gotta be easy to fix -

Please fix this so that you can actually use OneNote effectively in Teams without opening in the app or the browser. I have to explain to new team members about clicking the arrow to view the other pages or changing their view. Does anyone actually use this with just one page? Set the default view to show sections and pages if you aren't going to let us save a default setting.

Please fix this. So not user friendly, especially when users do't know that they can open the navigation panel to show sections and pages.
